I rode the Street Twin . Awesome . Have to try the 1200 , should be amazing , considering the displacement and power increase .

Where did you ride it? Waiting on an MCC demo day to check one out.

I'm going to go scope the XSR as well...with DGY gone (not that they were all that great anyway), who's got the Yamaha connections?

There a couple of yamaha stores around . I rode one that a friend bought . MCC should have demos available , otherwise the demo days are a PITA with all the people .

I got a chance to ride one of these last night........pretty damn fun with a Real Susp and Brakes.......from an HD - Low style Bars...almost Clubman Like and chopped rear fender and short front fender - Different riding style over any Sporty out and VERY flickable - Yes, the Jap bikes will weigh less and prob have better #s but this thing was fun man

I was all in for the Yamaha until I sat on it at the show this year. The ergos were so far off for me I had to let that that dream go. Shame as it looks great on paper, and pretty decent in person.

Shit, you and I are gonna be about gnat's ass on ergos probably too. I'll check it out at the demo ride and see.

Sonsabitches. Shitting all over both bikes I've had an unhealthy crush on...at least I KNOW I like the Bonnevilles already.

I second that Stan. Not sure what he was thinking but that quite possibly could be the dumbest move he is made, second to the move out to the burbs.

Cerk - the ergos just "didn't fit". Not really anything in particular. Th XSR was a bit more comfy than the FZ-09 (surprising given the shared bits) but still wasn't good enough to get the checkbook out. Couple that with all the bellyaching in the forums about the budget suspension and low range stutter and I shifted my focus back to Italian things.

Good luck with your search - and when you DO get a bike - don't play backgammon with Bug. He cheats. (that is not a euphemism...surprisingly)

Dude, the KTM was fun but was not for me - I love riding the 883 as it does what I want it to do perfectly and I will not get into trouble on it - It is like my old Triumph Bonnie....it does everything good but nothing exceptional and have no regrets - I was telling Cerk that a Street 750 will be a turd as his only Bike - The KTM was always a 2nd bike as is the 883 so I don't need it to be fast or a wheelie machine or anything like that

All good by me amigo - I could say the same thing about you trading your Bonnie away or spending $$ on any number of shit piles that sit in your garage and tie up your operating cash.....no?

Steve, I get why you bought the KTM but you had/have a perfectly good Tuano that is beautiful and rips, right? - Do you REALLY need that much more Umph to ride the street? - We all by shit man.....who cares - Fuck, Bfly has 37 bikes and he just bought a KTM and a Harley......who cares?

If I went the route of the Bonneville, I'd wait for the 1200...think I'm going to get my Dad's old '79 Bonneville going sometime this year too. That bike IS NOT a turd.

...Udog, I don't interact with Bug outside of forum banter...for health, reputation and sanity purposes really.

Still going to try riding the XSR on Friday, if only for a good reason to pull my old Edwards helmet out of the dustbin and cram myself in to a leather jacket purchased at the height of my mid-20s fitness.

I am 100% fine with our "See ya very 5 years" thing we have going here and to be honest, have been considering extending that to every 10
