WOW Honda to pay contingency in 2003!!! on CBR F4i/RC51/CBR600RR

http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?threadid=20753

Kinda suprizing, this will be the 1st time since the late 80's (1st gen CBR600F)that Honda has had a contingency program for roadracing. The downside is that it won't be cash $$$ but instead it will credit your honda-visa card to be spent anywhere you can use visa. Honda probably gets a kickback from Visa that exceeds thier payouts.....LOL

$2,000 for a win, $1,500 for 2nd, $1,000 for 3rd, $750 for 4th, and $500 for 5th. Also a $2500 bonus for the championship in each class.

Good to see though, hopefully the grids will be a little more diverse than the current hordes or GSXR's and R6's.

Q: Do you still miss the 500cc two-strokes?

A: Always, yes.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Well I'm sure that those contingency payouts are only for Expert and Pro levels. You can make some pretty decent money if you race Expert and win a lot...

Kawi and Suzuki have had decent contingency payouts for years now. Nice to see Honda finally caught up to the times with their bike and racing program
