Anyone watch the debut last night? 2 hours of really excellent fights. This season had very little pub, I didn't even realized it started last night...the DVR caught it.

Kind of nice to see the highly touted little brothers of Chase Beebe and Cole Miller get bounced. That Beebe kid seems decent enough so I wasn't really rooting against him, but Micah Miller came off as really full of himself...I had no problem seeing him get worked.

It's going to be a really good season, high quality fighters. Despite the fact that half of them look like oompa loompas

i dvr'd it and need to watch it. personally, imo, these classes make for the most exciting fights.

I watched -- some good stuff last night.

Yeah, youre right, Miller really got his ass handed to him by a fighter that didnt even seem to be confident.

I think because they're new classes to UFC, you're getting a lot of experienced high level guys that just haven't had the opportunity to fight in the UFC before.

That was a great part of the show, Mayhem called it...don't ever count anyone out in this game. Good stuff.

ya i think the UFC always rolled the idea around of officially having these classes...im glad they decided to give it a go. the popularity and talent is definately there. and i think these guys (in general) are way under rated.

I thought it was excellent as well despite Bisping back as a coach and that clown from SF. Lots of little furious fists and feet flying around.

No ring girls at the MGM though? WTF?

My favorite fight has to be the one with the kid who just would not go down. He kept getting blasted with hard punches to the jaw over and over and would not quit. You could tell he was dazed, but definitely not out. Even though he was beaten convincingly that is one tough dude. This is going to be a great season.

Wow I really thought after the first round of fights that the Marcus dude was a real contender for the competition. Guess he's a smaller version of Drew McFeddries at this point.

good comparison with marcus and ya, i agree on bisping...but guess thats not the case, right?! cause marcus didnt look too good...and mcfeddries has some heavy hands too...where is that guy anyways? he has some serious power.

He had a bunch of injury issues and then lost 3 fights in a row I think. He couldnt' get past anyone with a ground game. His knock out of that Russian dude was just unreal though. My broski knows him a little, I'll ask him what he's up to these days.

I once got a text message from Pulver too! My bro bounced at a bar in Iowa City, Miletich had fight nights there ever week. Those guys used to come hang out and watch.

one of the jits coaches at FLO in palatine (Rodrigo Comprido Medeiros)
trained with Lesnar on his jits game. picts are all up at the gym. pretty cool...and a small world 2.

I think Marcus would have won if he listened to his corner. He didn't do a single thing they told him to do. The other guy had absolutely no stand up at all.

Ha, I like tonights fight. The little guy is too stupid to know you never pick a fight with a guy that has crazy eyes, and that Bedford dude has super crazy eyes. Predictable result. Bisping is a shit coach and Miller I like more every day

+1 on Bedford crazy eyes. It's a good thing that dude has fighting for an outlet.

I initially wanted the little leprechaun to get his face pushed in but he was a scrapper in his standup.

Johnny better learn to keep his hands up or someone w just a little power will knock him out crazy eyes and all.

How the F did Bisping get back on the show? He was and still is a horrible coach and fighter.

He will have a spot w/ the UFC for awhile. He's a solid fighter and brings the UK market fan base in.

+1. i personally dont like a thing abut bisping...but he is a decent fighter (barely) and you're abosolutely right...he opened up a whole new market in the UK.
