Just so I'm clear, because he has respect for Castro's ability to maintain a ruthless dictatorship for so long in the face of constant assassination fears and he voiced this opinion he gets a 5 game suspension from baseball? What does his grudging respect for Castro have to do with baseball? lame.

I think it's quite different given that they're in Miami. Had he made this comment in Chicago it would be nowhere near the story that it is. Miami had made a concerted effort to target the Cuban American community down there...I'm not sure if you read in detail the reaction in the area, but it was really bad. They've started protests, clamped down on team boycotts. The Marlins had to do something to show they're paying attention.

A horrible start...this could be a train wreck.

Agreed...this one was particularly bad for the team though. When you have your primary fan base boycotting the team...not good.
