Going to the gun range ?'s

I was wondering if it would be legal to use the motorcycle's "trunk" to store the weapon (inside a case) to go to the range?

As long as it's not loaded and accessable, you're fine. If you want to be certain, just take out the pin before transporting it, or store the clips/ammo away from the gun itself.
