San Antonio is awesome. My favorite city in TX, actually, by a long shot. I very well might be moving there when I finish school. Lots of IL people there, for some reason. Maybe b/c of all the AFBs.

i might end up in houston @ Rice for the big return to grad school, any 2 cents about there?

austin is pretty cool as far as i understand...

i feel like slackin today but i have to go to work in a minute here, lousy rain i wanna ride in but don't want to get my shiz wet...

Well, Rice is super expensive....don't know why it makes a better grad school than a state school that will pay for you to go. Just my 2 cents about grad school. Been there, done that. But houston is cool. I hated it when I first moved here, but it has grown on me. It's big enough to get everything you want.

again, austin's kind of annoying. Fun to visit once or twice, but too small and too homogeneous to make for an interesting life. Just my opinion, but I prefer a city that has some racial variances and some differences in income-- it makes for a community of nice, hard-working people. Austin's full of 20-somethings that don't need to get jobs because mom and dad pay for their monthly tanning bed memberships.

I've only been to Fort Worth, Houston and Dallas for a business trip. I liked it. The southern brawl especially.

The rest I speak from what some friends told me that were studying there.

right, i'd be going there only if i land an assistanceship, i'll keep working and not go back to school if i land no TA-ships. at Rice there's a prof i want to study with in ethics there, which they are strong in

Forth Worth is also pretty cool. Dallas is just another city, but FOr Worth has some flair.
