So I have been tossing the idea of selling the B-king. It wasn't getting much use and now that I have drastically reduced my inventory, I was thinking this was next. Mainly, I think, because I felt it was a boring bike.

However, now that the bike has been out a little bit, mods are really starting to come out. I also talked to my #1 bike guy, Ken at Chicago Performance. Check out a couple mods these guys have done...

The Yoshi exhaust is my favorite. Adding the sliders was going to happen anyways. I dig the nose cone this guy put on as well. What do you guys think? I won't put the stretched swing arm on it. I do need a mod the allows for a little more leg room which I think I found as well. I think I can fairly inexpensively conform the bike into something that will be fun to ride...

Some have, actually. I think I have had someone else ride every one of my bikes at one point or another, but I have far less bike now and will probably sell the Versys and be happy with what I have today and call it a decade

Doing some simple mods the B-king could potentially make that my 2nd most ridden bike

Yikes, that bike has always been hard for me to like. It's only redeeming quality is the 1300ccs. If it were my decision, I'd sell it regardless of the available mods.

How is the B-King. I have a buddy who is thinking about one, or might just settle for a Speed Triple or Monster. He's looking for a 1000cc(including 13xxcc B-king) naked that is also comfortable for long hauls as in 300-600 mile day trips etc. Any input on your bike would be great even though you haven't rode it that much. Thanks

PS. He doesn't want a sport tourer because he loves naked bikes(he's had a few SV's) and the general fun of them around town. But, if he wants to go for a long joyride he wants to be able to do it without feeling like breaking his back

Stock, the suspension and brakes are highlights. Probably the best stock components on a ricer out there... Engine, no need to say how great that is because it's a Busa engine.

Past that, it needs a different exhaust area, unless you kike the HUGE rear end. A few cosmetic changes, exhaust, mirrors, and a couple small things and the bike is VERY nice.

The ride is flawless. Power is immediate. It's the fastest stock naked bike out there that is production. Riding position is perfect though I have a problem with how my legs fit next to the tank fairing. I have 33" inseem and I have a problem gettign comfortable, but that will change soon.

Paul, I would love to take a VFR for a spin. I'll bring the 675 and you can try that. I'm sure a 675 will take the place of a few bikes in your garage. It is very flexable and well rounded.

Paul, that bike is a monster streetfighter. I honestly don't see you as that type seeing you're not drinking protein shakes, have spiked hair, thick gold chain, wears tank tops with fancy jeans with holes already in them so you don't exactly fit the bill so to say. There are TONS of mods for the B-King although mostly custom and not really geared toward canyon carving performance but that bike is one badass platform for muscle flexing customization and will turn heads in any city environment if done right. Question is, can you pull it off?
