looking to rent trailer.....

Planing a trip to FL in late May. I've been recommended U-haul ones, but they are a little pricey and are HEAVY. I'd prefer a aluminum or steel frame with wood paneling if possible, want to keep the weight down. Looking for a 3 bike open carrier. Will pay for use, you can make a copy of my license and we can write out some kinda contract so you have no worrie about me running off with it. The trip will be from May 20th until May 29th, of course I'd want to pick it up a few days early and would drop back of sometime that week that works for you.

If anyone has one I can use, of knows a spot that rents them for a decent price...I really want to avoid U-haul. PM me on here

Thanks, Eric

Jason beat me to it. The only other place I know is in Seneca but that's a distance from you.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Thanks for the tips, I will call these up on Fri or Sat. As of right now, the plan was to take a '04 Lincoln Towncar, but that was when there were only two of us going....now with a third bike and bigger trailer, the Towncar's 2000lbs tow limit is probably not gonna cut it (car does have a large trans cooler and I bet Ford slightly underrates the potential) Still, I need find a REAL light trailer, we do have access to a '96 4Runner. As I've found, they have a 5000lbs tow limit, but the miles are up there on that.

Just for reference, the bikes are my '07 SV650s, a '96 CBR600, and a '05-ish CBR 600RR. Mine is mid 400lbs and the CBR's should be low 400lbs ea. So 1500lbs in bikes on a low 2000lb ratted car is why I am looking for a light trailer, but one big enough for 3 bikes is probably gonna be over 700lbs by itself. Grrr....

I would definetly take the 4Runner. Maybe have a mechanic go over it beforehand and change fluids and aslong as it's a good runner you should be fine. Also check the radiator hoses just to make sure
