FREE Trailer - Contest (Small Open Trailer)

I am going to be giving away my small open trailer for FREE, but there's a catch. I want those who are truely in need of a trailer to post up their reason for deserving a FREE trailer. Be honest!

Please limit the length of your post to a short paragraph or two. If it's like a book, I won't bother reading it. I was going to try and sell it, but I'd simply feel better if someone could use it that is truely in need of a trailer. I will also accept nominations if you know someone that needs it.

Trailer: (see pictures below)
Harbor Freight
Frame: 40"x72" (Decking is 48"x72")
Tires/Wheels: 8" (Brand New from Farm/Fleet)
Lights: Fully wired with standard 4-wire lights.
Ramp: Included. Locks into slot at the rear of trailer.

I just got the new wheel/tire combos this spring, and the trailer only has about 3 trips to Blackhawk farms on it. I kept one of the old tires as a spare. This trailer has served me very well over the last 5 years, and has made trips to Putnam, Road America, and Blackhawk Farms. One nice feature is having the wheeled tongue jack which makes it easy to roll the bike/trailer into the garage for storage.

I will accept entries until the night of Sunday, November 14th.

My reason for doing this is that I'm buying a new 7x14 trailer like the one shown in the last pic.

No trailer, would like one to start doing track days and try some fun in the dirt.

Agree with this type of deal.

I need a trailer.

I have a 50 year old Harley and like everyone here on CLSB likes to point out, they suck and break all the time so I would like to have a way to bring it back home so our lovely sport bike community doesn't laugh at me. It will also provide me a way to get my Harley to places more than 50 miles away. In my infinite wisdom I built a bike that has a tiny gas tank and a rigid frame so I really don't want to ride it.

Thank You!

I like going on trips with my fiancé but some places we go are just too long to ride for her in regards to her comfort. I am happy that she has her m class and she always says, "I wish we had a bike so we could cruise around." So with that said which ever bike we bring out on our trips we could bring a whip out to have fun with. We have been going on small trips to live within our means but we have wanted to bring a bike just really haven't been able to afford a trailer. We have two cars that could tow it so it would be perfect. I do plan on doing some track runs some day so it would definilty help with this as well so there is my paragraph thanks for your time.

Btw who ever you pick i agree with the above this is a really cool gesture u are doing!

Chris

j/k - Keep the responses coming, they will be interesting to see. I can see that this probably isn't going to be an easy decision, and I hope no-one's feelings get hurt if they don't win, but I only have one trailer to give away.

I need one. Sold my 6X12 a couple years ago when I needed money (didnt want to, but had to. unemployed). Having a bike with nearly 100K miles on it, a trailer would be a good thing to have just in case. Also may be looking into doing some trackdays. Also if you race, I've probably hauled your bike back to your pits at BHF.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

my buddy works out of town ~300 nights/year. this would let him take and actually ride the bike he is paying for more than a thousand miles/year.

It's hump day. Only 4 days left until I decide. I actually thought there would be more entries, but it's also good to not have 100 to choose from.

Just so everyone knows, I'm also running this over at WSB since I use both forums, and know people from both.

I want your trailer so I can turn around and sell it on Craigslist to afford my habit of going out, getting shit-faced and seeking out women with either:

1. Daddy issues.
2. Broken Dreams.
3. Questionable Morals.

Please consider this request and I thank you for your time.

I say give it to Loki too. He helped me out in a crunch, late night, over the phone, for free, without wanting anything in return, offering unsolicited help (meaning he offered to help, for free, no catch). Hard to find good people like that in this world (though we do have a ton of them on CLSB).

Anyway, a good guy who wants to get into trackdays. What better reason to give someone a trailer!?!
