Diesel Pusher - RV Feeler

Anyone have any hook ups or know someone that knows someone that can crunch some realistic numbers on an RV. I'm looking at a Diesel Pusher, 2007-2009, and working out the rest of the details as I go along

I'm not sure what you are looking for because there is a very wide price range in Diesel pushers. Biggest thing in motor homes is buy used. Motor homes loss value fast!!

I've been searching RV classifieds and talking with dealers here in Illinois for quite some time. I'm looking for a camper trailer. Anyway, in my experience with this, I've noticed and have even been told by a local dealer that the best prices are found in Elkhart Indiana. Was told that you can haggle between dealers down there, as they will fight for your business. I understand that there are tons of dealers down there as well. Best of luck. Cheers.

Here's the formula I used that allowed me to own mine and used it for about a year and a half with only $1000 to $1500 total out of pocket expense.

1. Buy an RV that holds its value better than the rest.
2. Buy an RV that will have a large group of buyers when you get ready to sell, i.e. a name brand and model that everyone recognizes.
3. Buy an RV that is old enough to have already taken the large depreciation hit, but not so old that it is need of a lot of repairs.
4. Buy the RV at below market value with cash if possible (to avoid financing costs).
5. Buy a middle range model, not the top of the line and not the entry model.

I chose a 10 year old Monaco Dynasty and it worked out perfectly for me. Bought it for almost exactly what I sold it for. Had a couple minor repairs, nothing too major. I miss it when I'm at the track sleeping in my 7 x 14 trailer.

There is a guy in Indiana trying to sell an 2005 Tiffin Allegro BUS! with all the bells and whistles. For a nice price of around 200k. Which is a steal.

They are great, when they are someone else's. RV's are alot of maintenance and very expensive to fix.

I have a small one and my jack barely lifts a tire off the ground, as the wheels of the jack sink into the driveway. Fixing it yourself is almost impossible...
