I was late to this Party - I miss riding slash racing in general - New Job is killing me and the back is starting to heel after getting out of Dirt - I have not even touched the Husky since I unloaded it form Shawno over a month ago

Not far off amigo - 2012 will bring a diff outlook for me as well as a lot of changes in my life - The Race Bike may or may not still be in the picture

Hell, if someone was dyeing to get into the sport, I would probably consider unloading early - With work, my back and other changes now in the mix, my goal is back to the Coast by 2013

I can't find any old pics from there, but I found the old flyer I put together for the first couple trackdays I put together there. I had forgotten that we even had Superbikers 2 planned to run a race there in 2007. The race never happened when the noise issues started popping up.

I even had a dirt section all mapped out that I almost had them convinced to put in before the noise stuff started throwing a monkey in the wrench.

The NWGP guys had a race there in 2008 (before they started letting the big bikes run with them), and I'm pretty sure that is the last time motorcycles turned a wheel on that track.

Blame the NWGP guys !

And sketchy Les, from what i heard from scott and his years of karting there he said Les and his partner were a couple of weasels who talked out both sides of their mouth and could be full of shit. Its was fun though!

Yeah, Les was definitely an interesting character. I bet if we all went down there together he would probably let us on the track again. He would bitch about the noise, but he wouldn't make the people that were too loud pack their stuff up and go home. He would just take their money and wait for the neighbors to call.

I only blame the NWGP guys for not inviting us to the race, after the first couple complaints came in, I knew we were doomed to get kicked out of there.

As mentioned above the guy that runs the place Les Finke is a little bit goofy but was always nice to us and kind of pro-bikes as he used to race Enduros in his younger years. He may be fairly easily talked into letting us back out there, but maybe not.

I think his son, who is kind of running it with him was a little more against the bikes.

The thing to do would be get a group together and get down there, but bring dirt bikes with too. It is just about 10 min down the road from Fox Valley Offroad, so at least you can get some riding in.

Yeah lets make it happen. I say we try to get some people together and head down there. I have a dirt bike and sumo so if we are not successful with the sumo we head on down and do some dirty. Matter of fact I would not be against going dirt biking witht he sumos as I need practice with that.

I have lots of great ideas. The whole making it happen thing just hasn't been working out lately!

I like the looks of the new bike. I thought that was going to stay as a street tard. What changed your mind to make it a race bike?

What's going on in the background of the one pic? You got a little giant Russian on the way?
