KTM importing SMRs again?

It's listed on the US website: http://www.ktm.com/us/supermoto/450-smr.html

trying to clear out stock of carb'd 450s maybe before the new FI one hits next year?

Anyone know what these are going to sell for, and if they will be a ticking timebomb like my last 450SMR???

I would guess MSRP will probably be about 9k.
The RF4 engines have had more minor issues than the 06 and prior RFS engines. probably would still have the crank issue too unless they use a different welded crank just for the SM bikes - doubtful.

Yeah thats my main concern is that crank. Honestly if I bought one I don't think I would ride it till I got the crank welded. I think it was 10 hours before I had mine pop and had to be rebuilt. Thanks god KTM rebuilt it for free basically under "good faith"

There is a nice SMC on SMJ in AZ I think for less than $6K - The MSC sold better than the SM and we never go the SMR over here

Stan, here is your Bike Bro - This thing is sweet - I am thinking of getting it myslef as I miss street tarding:

Fuel Injected
305lb of lightness and 61hp and Dirt cheap insurance and tags with OHV tags! make this the ultimate hooligan bike.. you will have an impossible time trying to wipe that smirk off your face when riding this anywhere.

approx 12xxx miles

KTM Front and rear Axle Sliders ($80)
Lowering Link ($175) plus dealer install and front end lowered correctly to match. Bike handles much better and is more planted
KTM Stock link included
FMF Powercore 4.0 Muffler slip on (just got but haven't reset the FI yet)
Stock muffler included
Carbon fiber exhaust shield (~$130) so you don't burn you pants
Fender eliminator kit
aftermarket blinkers front and rear installed (because the stock ones suck and just break when you look at them wrong)
KTM 690 Enduro Skid Plate
KTM Peg Sliders
Very new Pilot Power's
Recent Battery replacement

Full records dealer maintained bike.

Only thing it needs is either the front rotor rivets cleaned or a new floating front rotor (common KTM problem because it's not a floating rotor from the factory and a little dirt gets in the rivets and then binds in one direction which causes the brakes to pulse even though the lever doesn't) This could also be that the front pads/rotor need to be sanded..
12k mile service with valve adjustment needs to be done.

Bought Bike - Girlfriend said 4 motorcycles was plenty so Either the KTM or the Z1000 must go.

Trying to sell it this weekend reposted locally for this new lower price.
Priced for quick cash sale $5500 Cash, Clean/Clear Notarized Title ready to go.
Call Chris at 480 two hundred 89 14
Pickup is in Scottsdale, Arizona 85255
A new one is $11,999 without Accessories

$5500 is a pretty good price and 12K is not a lot of miles really

LOL I think I know that bike. He does alot of Motovid trackdays at BHF. He bought a KTM 560 so he wouldn't wad up the 690. He is a track noob and nice guy. Matter of fact I think he has some kind of wierd profession like a preist or something.
