Re-Born '04

Thanks to Equalz, we got the old Graphics pulled off and the new put on today

She is ready to rip in (2) weeks @ USAir - Thx again Roman - You are the Decal MASTER

Here she is and before you say it, I ALMOST went with the Red & Black Alpinas but thought the Blue offset it nicely which IMHO, it does - DIG and BRAP

And how the bikes will finish this season, mine in front of his

Oh I am 100% sure it will get thrown down the track this season with me trying to back it in on the new Slipper

Ha - I am the slowest in the field but went from having a piece mailed track bike to something that looks like it belongs out there - I will say tha I am getting faster with every passing season - I am most excited about the slipper and brand new rubber espically with the opener at USAir as that track has grip for DAAAAAAYS

I told the guy who runs the sight that he could use it so he did

He is a cool guy and helped me get them from a Race Team in the UK

The "New Motor" Fund will be taking the $$ for the rest of the season as I am done with this bike this year

as long as nothing breaks this season, the motor may not cost you too much unless you have Tom redo the top and bottom....

I've been thinking about building a oven big enough to hold a frame so I can do some powdercoating on the side. I'll hook you up on the cheap.

Looks great Ed! You guys look set to start cashing in on all that Husky contingency $$$$ that they are putting up for NWGP this year.

Hopefully, I will make it out to at least a couple events later in the year (April, May, and June I'm definitely out, we will see about later).

I am going to have Tom tear it done and completely rebuild the motor with Hour Meter and everything in the off season next year - I am confident the motor will hold this season as it REALLY has never taken a full season of beating

Colin, you are correct and that is also what I am looking to use as that "Husky $$" is really "Husky Bucks" that you can use on their catalog - THAT will come in handy when rebuilding a motor - Would LOVE to see ya out there man - It is a pleasure to get passed by you, C

If anyone is interested in getting into the sport, this scoot may be up for sale soon - I might be working out a trade for a new track bike for my 630 - Bike runs strong and pulls hard and the Susp is DIALED in

- '04 Husqvarna 450smr
- Surflex Slipper Clutch
- 50mm Forks (stock is 48)
- Triples to fit the 50s
- RR Spec Shortened Swing Arm (not installed)
- Pro Taper Fat Bars
- Gutz Racing Step Seat
- Alpina Carbon Matix Rims w/Slicks
- Shortened Exhaust
- Carb Tuned For Exhaust
- Brembo Brakes
- Carbon Fiber Engine Case Cover (not pictured but installed)
- MX Decals Pro Grade
- Rear Shock Rebuilt for 200lbs Rider
- 6 Speed with new Race Gearing and Chain

The rims alone retail for $3200 - The 50mm Forks for about $1K and the RR spec swinger for another $350 - Slipper is $1K, etc etc

Would love to sell it whole to someone who wants to race with us - If not I will part it out and make a lot more $$ but would rather see it still raced - No idea on hours - Bike was bought new for street use by a 50+ year old gentleman in '05 and sold to another member here after barley any use in '08- The member here did NOT race it hard and sold it to me in '10 - I have a handful of race weekends on it and (2) track days - Valves were checked over the winter and all is fine - I plan on a top end in the off season for piece of mind but have never had a single issue with this motor

I do not have a price in mind yet as the "Trade" is not final but if you are serious (please, serious) about it, I will cut you a deal to see you on it and racing with us - The Sumo boys on here (Tnat, Equalz, BH, Moto804, G2G) can vouch for this bike

The bike is solid, runs strong and pulls hard - Keep it in mind and I will keep this thread updated

To clarify for Stan, the bike is a Race Bike - No title and not street legal - The original owner bought it for back road use out in the sticks - Geomoto (old member here) bought it and beefed up the Susp with the rear shock and 50mms off an '06 AMA bike - I added the rest with the work being done by Tom Zont of TZR Racing - He also tuned the carb for the exhaust and did the valve check
