First Build

Hey guys.

I figured you all would be the most knowledgeable regarding helping me with a first build. I can't seem to find any cheap bikes that would be the base of this project! I know people who after all was done and said spent around $3000.. so I'm assuming they found a bike for $2000 or less.

Any tips or suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this and thought maybe it would work. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/mcy/2984120725.html It just makes me laugh that I picked up my sport bike for $3000 and I see dirt bikes that cost more than that lol

Cheers!

My .02, look for one already converted and spend any extra on engine work - Something like that may need engine work ON TOP of 17, Susp, Brakes, etc etc

Ha it's funny you linked that. I just stumbled upon it today. Saw a sweet drz a few hundred miles away for a great price. In the process of hoarding cash for purchase.

Scratch that. There's no way I'll have enough money for this for a few months. Taking a few trips = killing my funds.
