Everyone Loves a Tnat

GREAT to rip with ya again yesterday Bro and that little 2t is a RIOT

As Promised, Tony wringing its neck and then my old and broken down ass limping rashed tires thru corners - All and all a great day with great friends

Need to grow the grid for next season - Dave, wait until you rip USAir - Makes RA look like a goat path

Pretty much the whole grid is made up of ex RR guys - Ask G2G what he likes riding / racing more.....

Most fun I have ever had on a bike

2stoke 250 - $1500, used sumo setup $ 1000 - $2500 total youre done youre sumoing! Most fun ive had sumoing on the 125, next yr a 250 with bigbore 280kit and bam, no more gettin killed on the straights. cornering is so much funner on a 2 stoke, no sliding,no engine braking just smooth butter transitions and the chassis isnt all unsettled.

More so from a MX Convert like Yami, Kawi, Honda and Suz - KTM, Husky & Husaberg all have chassis especially designed for SM - Ask Phil about this - He has been battling the thought of unloading his Graves Yami for a true SM for this exact reason

You rode my SMR, did the Chassis feel unsettled to you?

Your bike felt good, so did phils and scotts when he had it setup, its the typical 4stroke engine braking, dont get me wrong but even with my slipper the engine braking doesnt compare to pure butter smooth 2 stroke freewheeling and for me too strong of brakes and engine braking slow me down, like i said before my fastest lap at RA was actually a 56.8 on the standard asphalt course that was in the summer, new like tires and me being used to the bike setup, the best i did on saturday was a 1.08 min so actually 4 secs slower with shit tires, no jetting setup, no clicker setup on the 125. as you saw on the straights i was losing so much time but in the corners my speed was faster according to gps lap data, it even felt more natural. ive never liked the 4 stroke engine braking from day one as from riding 2 smokes for a few decades you get used to it. ill see come next year as im fo sure gettin a 250 2 smoke and probably a bigbore. for what im doing i dont need the $2k motor every 2-3 years and i did have a fuckin blast on saturday. + the extra weight i dont like. Your bike is the proverbial sumo shit! can i jerk off on it the next time i see it? But Ryans new husky is more jerkoff material as the backdoor gas filler cap is just up my backdoor alley!

I have been toying with a 2T as well - Konitzer has a KTM 200 with the 300 kit - About 60+ RWHP out of a 215 lbs wet bike

You just REALLY have to run a wider line and keep all your corner speed

Keep it stan, probably the most fun ive had riding sumo for the last 5-6 yrs, even though i got killed on the straights as its a 125 and i weigh more than it! flowing through the corners was a blast, i musta looked like the koolaid guy under my helmet!

I was looking at the data and the 125 loses a little on straights but in the corners especially the infield the 125 excels slightly, with the right gearing, fresh tires, better jetting, better suspension setup time - it could be close. the peaks and valleys are the speeds of each bike, the dark yellow is the 450, the light yrllow is the tiddler 125.

You cant turn a 200 into a 300. Totally different engine. 250 to a 300 is common

I think he said it was a 280 kit and he did something else to it to get it right to about a 300 - Took a ton of tuning but the bike is solid now and it runs strong

Tnat, how is the 125 coming out of the corners? do you have to feather it a lot, or can you just roll it on?

if i drop it down a gear and keep the rpms up im fine otherwise ive got to slip the clutch and rev it as im going thru. nothin quite like a 2 smoke on asphalt. i wish i woulda done this shit years ago as i woulda saved a shit load of mony on not buy 4stroke pig stuff.

bill its not as hard of work as i thougt it would be, its actually seems easier to ride due to the less weight much easier to ride, yes ive got to work the clutch but its not bad and funner for me as i had forgotten how to ride a 2 smoke a few years ago but its all coming back.
