I am waiting till the 1st of the year to make sure I will be able to do it financially. I am getting laid off on Dec 15th so I wanna make sure this new job goes through before I make any big plans.

I figure doing the IOM or Macau or any street race over seas is outta my finacial bubble and honestly I think I am about 10 years past my prime to do a race like that At least the Pikes peak race is in the states and I honestly think I could do fairly well in that street race.

I think the town veto'd it or Ins issue. I can't remember.

On another not would anyone else be intersted in splitting cost on the Pikes peak race? If not I think I will post on a couple of road race forums or this forum to try to find someone. That way travel and lodging cost is split between us.

get ahold of Chase Guthrie and see if he's racing it again. pretty sure he still lives somewhere here in IND.

The reason why they didt do the Detroit race last year is because city council members wanted to see the turn out and how the West Branch race went first.
Me and few NWGP peeps was there last year and the Detroit city council was really impressed with the event and told Dave he had the green light to host a street race in the D. So i think that it is 95% a go

So dudes, what is the costs look like for track days, races; and where does this shit happen at? From reading your threads, the closest track is RA? That sucks! I'm probably going to pick my new yz up at an ice race later this year, I just sent homeboy a deposit to hold for me. So this year, depending on how fast or slow you dudes are, I'll be running, at the very least stuffing the fast dudes if I get lapped LOL

Track days cost from 20 to 40 dollars. Sugar river raceway is the clost track. It's 30 miles due west of Blackhawk.

2 Hrs to drive to a track sucks? - What are you use to?

4 hrs to USAir will probably kill you then

Hell yes 4 hours will kill me!!!! I like close places like Autobahn and BHF
Bug you don't know prima donna till you hang with me...
No matter how far, with the prices, I'll be at every round/trackday I can. Fucking 20 to 40 dollars. I can't stop laughing at how much cheaper it is.
