Any life left in midwest supermoto?

So I haven't bought anything fun for myself in a while. Dad duties and house projects have taken up most of my free time and money.

But I'm due to get myself something I want. Looking to get a pair of supermoto wheels and some used leathers. But is there still supermoto track days and racing around here?

This site is dead. The midwest forum on SMJ is dead. Rockford riders looks like its gone. The thread I read on SMJ talked about how NWGP may or may not be the same next year.

Is there any racing around here still? Wheres all the midwest supermoto discussion these days? Facebook???

yep its still alive. We are just busy riding ice now. Road America, Shawano, WIR, and a bunch of other places still race and have trackdays. Unfortunately I thing Sugar river which is 30 miles due west of Beloit is not going to have supermotos allowed to ride anymore. But we will see once the 2015 starts. There is a couple of Midwest groups for SM on FB that all of us are on

. Also I know at least 10 people on CLSB that have sumo's.

you should get it together even if you only ride once a year, and do the 2 hr endurance charity race! although practice at RA is awesome too, I took 15th last year overall, 2nd place iron man,

What kind of Husky did you buy? - Why the Ape AND the Husky?

I bought the 09 TE 450 late in 13 for dual sport rides like leaf river, its plated but ive never ridden it on the street,, then last week I saw a local selling the SM wheels for the husky so I decided to get em, so I can street tard it or run at the track,,,, the ape? its so badass I just couldn't resist, and it was my birthday so I decided to treat myself, and last fall I booted all the bikes I don't own out of my garage so I had some space , see rule # 12

Rule # 12

// The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.

While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/

allways follow the rules, very important

Anyone need FMF db restrictors / spark arrestors?

I have two flavors new in the box (too lazy to return them) if anyone is interested. PM me for details if anyone can use them.

we still riding, im rebuilding my yz 2 fiddy, big bore and porting are going on it in the next month. might be a limited summer as baby #4 comes early july so i gotta get it in before then and then maybe sept sumo days. The track days at rd america have been huge, at least 25+ bikes each one, more of track day riders than racers nowadays but NWGP was going good. i might do a race or two but probably more mx this year for me.
