Any kind of helmet will help disguise your retardness.

Supermoto Specific Gear is kinda a cross between MX and Roadrace with Leather bottoms no knee pucks, and jersey top with under Armour. I like using the MX helmet and goggles but there is no rule to that. Last year I used a 1 piece Shift suit, this year I switched to all Troy Lee Designs Supermoto Gear. They have an awesome leather and armor top to wear under the jersey.

I used also switched gloves last year I had gauntlet road race gloves, this year I switched to an all leather wrist length glove.

Last one boots. The boot itself is identical to an MX boot. The sole has a slider. There is a company on Supermoto junkie that offers a set of sliders to retro a MX boot.

“The shapes and beauty of the motor are very important to me. Older bikes have beauty. Modern bikes…I don’t have any favorite shapes.”

I raced supermoto a couple of years ago and wore complete roadrace gear. Half the people did. Don't waste you money on buying different gear. The only thing is if you plan on going foot out instead of knee out you will want to get supermoto boots.

Sidi SuMo boots kickass. Shoei MX helmets kickass as well.

I go back and forth. Sometimes I wear MX gear with an A* bionic jacket, other times I wear leathers. Depends on my mood and whether I'm having a good hair day or not.

Hey Rob, didnt you have a thread not too long ago about that Master Cheif looking Shoei Hornet helmet? Did you find any locally?

I realize a dirtbike helmet is appropriate for Norway but what about street riding? That Hornet would fit the bill most excellently.

I haven't ordered one yet. I'm waiting until I get up that way for the summer and take care of a few other things. When I do, it'll be through my guys at MCC.
Its a very cool helmet, and I'd dig having one for street use or sumo track use.
