gonna check compression and then the electrical system. stator failure is a pretty common problem on these bikes.

I can ride Sunday. I'll have the muffler repacked by then and that should get it quiet again.

I wouldn't mind going Sunday (Norway??) if I get my oil filters in time.

Geo showed me the correct line in the last session on Sunday so I am supremely confident that now I'll be lapping Rob and Bill instead of the other way around!!

LOL, that's funny. Regardless of line I think I'd be faster if I got off the bike and pushed it around the track...

I hope so. It was pretty quiet when it was first rebuilt, even without the insert. With it and the new FMF ultra- fancy packing it should knock off 5-6 dB hopefully. The EXC pipe might be needed though, provided it'll fit the FMF midpipe. I might just use it as an excuse to get the really cool twin can akra system

fast line:
if you zoom in on the map in satellite view you can see the rubber left down by the karts. they run a really smooth roadrace line with high corner speed. maybe not the best line for bikes in every corner, but it certainly works in most of them.

Can you just buy a strator and try it? If it doesn't work then take it back.

just bought one brand new for $50 on smj
they're 200+ from the dealer.
usually there's a hefty restocking fee + return shipping if you order a factory part and then return it.

A lot of places don't take electrical items in return just for the reason you said Joe.

Who's riding where?

How about Sun. 6/8?

I'm torn between going to Road America & staying in Il. to go to Norway. Leaning toward Norway cuz as of now it looks like the best chance of the weekend for a dry period. I don't want to be the only 'tard in with all the carts.
