HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

I hate to even type this but that first pic is reminiscent of Jonesy (RIP)

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

Memories!

Oh, the joyous memories this brings...

...let me take you all back to Denver, mid-Summer 2006. The Husaberg importer that is helping our team (by our I mean Robert Loire, Mike Bergman, and myself) decides he has a road racer guy that will help us win the Team Championship for the unlimited class, and brings him in for the Denver doubleheader.

Road racer guy, though not very smooth on the SM bike manages to turn a qualifying time just slightly better than mine (which really pisses me off), thereby lining up to my inside for the LCQ (since neither of us were in the top 16 of timed qualifying).

teammate start.JPG
Road racer guy, not used to SM clutch wheelies on start...

teammate takeout1.jpg

Road racer guy, not used to SM style tight first corners, forgets to use front brake...

teammate takeout2.JPG

Road racer guy, hooks Colin's left arm causing rodeo style one-hander while front end starts to wash out...

teammate takeout3.JPG

Colin's front end catches traction again, causing another of the long line of... (say it with me Tony) Highsides!....

flying elbow drop.JPG

After watching clearly too much WWE, road racer guy perfects the Flying Supermoto Elbow Drop! (yes, it hurt, a lot!)

[QUOTE=tnat;1286591]Colin, Did you Sodomize him after that one? That looks like it hurt!

[QUOTE]

Funny you should ask such a question. The guys name is Barrett Long, he races AMA Supersport and Formula Extreme with a fair amount of success. However, the distributor hadn't really told us anything about him other than his name and that he road raced. So we "Googled" him (try it once you will find it comical, beware it's a little NWS).

Luckily he isn't the first guy with that name that pops up on Google.

And, yes, it hurt, I couldn't stand up straight for a week. They ended up red-flagging that race cause his bike dropped some water in the first turn. I was all ready to pack it up and call it a day when I heard the PA announcer say my name, then I noticed that he was right next to me, he made some comment that would have made me feel like a real puss if I didn't go back out. I was running 1 spot out of a qualifying position when my hand guard, that was damaged in the crash, fell down in between my forks and my radiator. Not being able to turn left on a primarily left hand track doesn't work out too well.
