Husky 125?

Is that even available in the US? If it is there is no way that thing is street legal is there? I mean a 2-stroke in the U.S. brand new with a plate is this possible?

I just talked to a guy here in Chicago that drives a street legal Derbi 125cc "tard".
I guess it's possible then.

But can I go to a husky dealer and buy one of these new? Trying to find something for my wife since her choices are limited at 5'2" and she's been dying for a cool looking bike.

Brand new under 50cc 2smoke is legal, as long as the government does not consider it a "childs toy". Think scooter.

FWIW, if I find a 2smoke Cagiva, I am going through my non English speaking currency exchange, and crossing my fingers. You may want to try this yourself.

Gio would probably know better. Considering how few SM models are being imported to US, you probably don't have a chance.

IMHO, the bike would be way too tall for her anyway..

Well I'm also looking at the new SM version of the CRF230 that's actually a little shorter than her XT225 and I think the street tires would give her more confidence in the corners. Cornering on knobbys on the pavement is well different.

Good luck getting the Husky 125. Not gonna happen unless you have real deep pockets. You would be better off getting one of the new Jap. models.

Like I said in the other thread - I sat on the new KLX250SF and liked it very much. It would make a perfect street bike for somebody who's shorter and doesn't need tons of power.

The CRF is an extremely outdated bike IMHO.

it is outdated, but the motor is about as bombproof as you can get, and it would probably get 75mpg or better

You Eastern Europeans are all bombproof. Look at Roman. I saw him get run over by a truck and he brushed himself off and kept riding.

I saw Roman cut the flesh off his arm and there was a metal endoskeleton underneath.

The KLX would never fly with her I have the KLX250S and it's WAYYYY too tall for her. I'm sure the SF is a little shorter but I'm looking for something with say a 31" or lower seat height. Although thanks to you guys I did go looking for myself on eBay and found a set of wheels for the KLX for $600 someone from this forum is going to owe me some money.

Are you suggesting I share a bike with her Ofugit? Do you remember "her" SV? She knows better than that but I'm am currently watching a set of 17"s on eBay thanks to you, and the other SM evangelists on here I blame you all.
