Superbikers2 Supermoto Update

Hey All,

I hadn't noticed any updates on the Superbikers2 series on here in a while, so I thought I would do some digging and find out what is going on.

It looks like it is just going to be a 2 weekend series (4 rounds) this year, but it looks like they are going to pack a lot of fun into those weekends. They will be running with the Mini Roadrace guys, and maybe have an endurance type thing, so it should be fun.

Race weekends: June 13-14 & Sept 12-13
Both at Road America

They have also just posted their license application form (for the bargain discount price of $35 this year).

I'll be sending mine in tomorrow.

I thought they aere just going to run the main races on Sunday and Sat would be practice and demos and minis. So it would be only 2 races.

I guess I haven't really seen what they are fully planning, but the site is saying Rounds 1 & 2 are the weekend of June 13-14 and Rounds 4 & 5 are on September 12-13. Which then begs the question: What happened to Round 3?

Another couple of updates.

The SS Class is now open displacement.

It also looks like there will be a pavement only race on Saturdays.

I talked to Glenn yesterday and it will definitely be 4 rounds. This is done so that we can claim Michelin contingency and possibly others for each day/race.

Everyone needs to find a pit bike if they don't have one. The mini race format that he mentioned yesterday sounds like a blast. Basically, you will be grouped with guys/gals by speed so everyone should have someone to race / rub handlebars with.
