RIP my PS3

after minuites of playing Gow3 for the first time i notice an odd noise coming from by ps then cabooom my whole life changes.. it shuts off and doesnt want to come back on again. i switch off main power wait a while try againg and it cuts off again.. my question is... can i get it fixed is it worth it .. or should i just buy a new system... is there any way to get my stuff out or do i just have to buy all my movies and games again... fudge... saddest day of my life..........

dude, its only a ps3!! LOL. Could have overheated, it sounds like it gets a lot of use. Search utube for reflowing your ps3, should find a vid. If its anything other than that I'm sure there are people here or buisnesses that can fix it. Good luck dude.

if you have an external HD or big thumbdrive you can backup your gamesaves but like itunes and zune the FCC only lets you download a movie purchase one time.

Now is it a new one or a big one? if it big you can pull out your hdrive and move it to a new one possibly. out of warranty repair is like 150$+

new units are 299 and amestop has used ones for 269
