Post up if you play. I'm always game for some races or challenges just tooling around bumping into people and wrecking mid-air off of ramps.

It's very good. It's an "open" world that does a very good job at being open. You're tossed into a city and you get to just drive around and do what you'd like. At every intersection you can do a burnout (brake + gas) and you'll start an event for that intersection. Either a race, marked man, burning route, or road rage. They have taken out the whole scenario crash mode where you are placed in a scenario and have to cause the most damage. It is now "showtime" mode which is so ridiculous it's awesome. At any point while driving around you can hit L1 + R1 and be put into showtime mode where you crash and begin racking up points. It can pretty much never end because everytime you hit a car you get a little boost juice that you use to make your car move and flip around and shit.

It's crazy, gorgeous looking, and a lot of fun. It has tons to do and never really feels boring or like it's dragging on. I highly recommend it.

edit: I forgot to mention the online play is absolutely seemless. You can be driving around the city and you hit the d-pad right and bam you're online. Pick a server or whatever and it puts you in that server. You don't magically go anywhere you just synch up with the server automatically and have some fun. Then when you leave the server you're back in your own world right where you left off in the online one. Very very seemless integration and makes for a lot of fun.

LOL, i've been tryng to figure out how to do that. Rep. Do you know if you get specific cars for certain races? For example, for Road Rage, do you only get beefed up cars after you beat it? I've been trying to get that pick up truck/monster truck but with no luck. Should i be doing all types of challenges or just the Road Rage to acquire this truck? TIA - btw, not sure of it matters if it's for the more superior 360.

Haha no problem, I had to find out from someone else as well. I don't think it says it anywhere but maybe in the manual and fuck if I read that hahaha.

Some cars are based on the actual events you complete although almost all of them are just based on how many events you've completed. After you completed X events you'll also end up getting X car driving around that you have to shut down. It's pretty much preset but there are a few cars that like I said you have to complete certain events to acquire. If you're playing through trying to get as many of the cars make sure you do all of the burning route's as soon as possible. Once you complete your burnout license the Elite license is next and the more burning routes you did the less you have to complete, plus you get upgrade cars.

Here is a list of the special cars and how you unlock them:

Carbon Hydros Custom Beat all Showtime Road Rules
Carbon Ikusa GT Beat all Time Road Rules
Carson Carbon GT Concept Find All 400 Smashes
Carson Fastback Get a B Class License
Carson GT Concept Get a Burnout Driving License
Gold Paint Finish Win all Elite License Events

Montgomery Carbon Hawker Hit All 120 Billboards
Nakamura SI-7 Get a C Class License
Platinum Paint Finish 100% Completion
Rossolini Tempesta Get an A Class License
Watson 25 V16 Revenge Racer Finish all Road Rage Events

and here is a list of cars you can only unlock using a "Sponsor Code" in the main menu:

Paradise is awesome!

The only gripe i have about the game is that when you loose a race there is no retry button. Sure there's prolly another race just around the corner at the next intersection, but near the end of the game you'll find yourself driving half way around the world cause you came in second.

Graphics 10
Gameplay 10
Crashing into Newbs 10

Just get the game and enjoy the drive!
