Playstation Home is Now

Download it today, Thursday 12/11/08.

Of course now you'll likely get a connection error 80710D23 because the server is down.

LOL on the connection error. I hope I get to keep my beta items. I "bought" a summer home.

Is it just me or is HOME really boring?

I did see people floating in mid air today. Must be some bug but they kept on doing it in the Mall. Something about pushing a bubble machine over the edge of the 2nd floor and then somehow getting up on the guard rail and then jumping onto the bubble machine.

Anyone else have luck at this?

I'm sorta ticked that I unlocked 2 additional rooms in the Drake setting and then they upgraded HOME to 1.05 and I've seemed to have lost them. I even bookmarked them so I wouldn't need to enter the code again.

We just got a PS3 the other day, and downloaded Home late last night.

I'll we did was walk around the beach house a bit.

I'm guessing it's nothing more then a social interaction program? Or is there more to it?

Nope not much. The stores don't even sell anything but clothes for your avitar.

What is annoying to me is that there are so many people with very little actual gaming experience who talk about games there.

I'm not a trophy hound but I do pride myself in working 1 hour a day give or take to achieve level 4 soon to be 5 and complete more than 30% of my games.

I even consider that a low achievement as far as serious gamers go but on HOME I rarely meet anyone who has more than level 2 or hase even played 3+ games past 10%.

Mostly its just a bunch of kids and the adults that are there are wierd.

Maybe someday they'll put incentives to go HOME or at least put the PSN Store in the mall. I still log in once in a while to check on things but until they get out of the open beta stage I'm not taking it seriously.

is this just like that second life game?

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

That's pretty much what it looked like to me.

I think Bri spent over an hour working on the facial shape of her avatar, threw some clothes on in 10 minutes, then we spent 5 minutes wandering around the beach house and said fuckit.

Get out of the Beach house. Download the plaza in the background while you set up your avitar. It takes about 10 minutes to download each "room/area."
