MotoGP for PS3 Demo

The MotoGP demo is available on PSN. I don't know how long its been available but I downloaded it last night and its definitely on my games to buy list. The Demo only allows you to race one lap at the Indy track, but I had some nice battles with Sylvain Guntolli.

I downloaded it about a month ago and have played it some. I don't know much about the game play since it's only a demo, but I really hope its like Gran Turismo where you have to earn your stripes instead of like the EA NASCAR games where you can just hop in a car and race. Anyone know if this is the case?

The previous version for PS2 was setup where the more you race and do well the more you are able to customize your bike. Make it brake better, accelerate...etc. Or the Quick race if you just want to hop on and ride. Looks like this one has the same garage layout.

Just saw this:

Quote:
The highlight on the single-player menu is the Career mode, which gives you a chance to create a rider from scratch and work your way up through three bike racing series (125cc, 250cc, and, the pinnacle, MotoGP). As you enter races, any points you score by placing high enough in the final results will earn you attribute upgrade points you can apply to one of four aspects of your particular bike: top speed, acceleration, braking, and traction. You can then take your souped-up bike online and enter the competition in online racing events against up to 11 other online riders.
