I'd Reccomend,

I figured it would be fun to make a thread about games you would recommend.

If there is another title someone suggested that you agree with just quote the title and +1 it. etc.

One Game title per post

I will start with,

Uncharted 2

Assassin's Creed 2 adds to it's epic storyline. Improved gameplay. AI mechanics were improved but the interface was the same though which was dissapointing. The character sometimes doesn't exactly go where you meant him to.

Is the first Assassin's Creed worth playing then?

We have a PS3, but I've only really played Little Big Planet and lots of PAIN, and I beat the snot out of that car game...Burnout City I think it's called. I love race games.

Boring IMO. There are better platformer games such as Ratchet and Clank. Mainly, my problem with LBP is the mechanics. The little sackboys tend to slip off things a bit more than I'd like. For example, you jump onto an amazingly small platform after the 20th+ attempt only to have your sackboy slip off 2 seconds later.

Maybe I'm jaded. I'm stuck on the last level and find it frustrating that I've played through the whole thing and still haven't mastered the controls? Maybe it's because I need a new controller?

In any event, it's pretty cool but the big novelty is creating your own levels and playing with others online.

Personally, I hate online play. You team up with 2 or 3 people totally unknown to you and some of them don't take the run through very seriously and try to screw around. That makes it lame. Perhaps if you are like 12 years old and have a slew of preteen friends to join up with online then it'd be ok but for adults, there may be better options.

If you like platformers then you should get it. It is pretty inventive as far as that goes.

The reason why I call it boring is because it makes you do levels over and over to get all the collectables. The story is so so and not as memorable as other platformers. But mainly, if you are a trophy whore it's a lot over repetativeness. The trophies are unimaginative too. Like shoot 10,000 paintballs. I tried to get this trophy and can't. I even wrapped a rubber band around my controller with the button depressed and left it running for 8 hours. Based on the shots/minute I calculated I should have got the trophy in no time flat but it's still outstanding. Other trophies make you buy the Metal Gear expansion pack, fire 100 paintballs in 10 seconds, create your own level, play online, place stickers, etc. Just sort of borning stuff when compared to other games.

Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition. I love this game. It has everything. Go with the main quests and finish the story in 10 hours or do the side quests and log over 130 hours. I'm working my way through the expansion packs and there are loads of silver and gold trophies.

AC is worth playing for the story line alone. Burnout paradise was a awesome game indeed.

Mandy LBP is a very fun family friendly game. you can even creat your own levels.

My 3 year old loves the characters. I won't let her watch me play or let her play herself but those little guys are lovable. I can't believe the video game industry hasn't learned to market stuff better.

I'd sure love to have a Half Life t-shirt but the symbol is trademarked and Valve won't press any shirts. Similarly, Media Molecule won't make a plush sackboy to save their life. Here is the ultimate opportunity to get a really cute product on shelves at Target and Toys R Us and they can't pull it off.

It's simply ironic that a game based on a stuffed animal doesn't offer the actual stuffed animal for sale.

Where'd she get it? There was one for sale from PlayAsia.com for a month or two back in 2008 but they are sold out. There have been people selling them on eBay but they are making them in their homes. There are some plastic ones but who wants a plastic version of a stuffed animal?

I too got frustrated with LBP. It's a GREAT game, sound and video is awesome, level building is fun...but I just get too frustrated. Rachet and Clank is easier and less frustrating, which equals fun.

I'm still glad we have LBP though.

I'm thinking about asking for an Xbox for Xmas though...

I've been waiting to play ACII since the first one came out. The story line is amazing. I just got ACII from my friend but I don't have a PS3 at the moment. ACI is worth playing. The only problem with it is the repetitive nature of the game, everyone who has played it has told me the same thing. Hopefully they changed this in ACII.

I don't have children, but it might be interesting if someone is 3 or 4...

I played a lot of Guitar Hero and Rock Band on PS3 and the instruments are now compatible between the games, so after one has the instruments, it is enough to buy the games.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta is awesome!!!!!

Amazon has them for $20. 4 different kinds. I ordered mine Dec 21 and they shipped on Jan 4. I'll post a review on Amazon after my daughter opens them on her birthday.

I'm looking over my new games and other Christmas loot and I have a real project a head of me. But OMG is Modern Warefare 2 great. I get sweaty palms just thinking of playing. Anyway Best Buy had an in store sale last 2 weeks ago and I picked it up for $40. Amazon had ACII just after Christmas for $40 too. I just wished I'd picked up Amazon's Uncharted deal which included both games for $50 about 3 weeks before Christmas. I was on the fence thinking that I had too much material to work through anyway and by the time I decided to buy the price in my cart had changed.
