It's not the best way, but why not ride to the track? It doesn't seem that far from you. Otherwise just use a pickup truck, or borrow one if you can. You don't have to have a trailer, they are just for lazy people...like me. The only issue about riding to the track is that if something happens at the track like a mechanical breakdown you can't ride it home.

A pick up works fine, that is how I get there. If you can get a truck and a ramp you are set. Hell, even if you can't get a ramp, just load the bikes using a hill and I will let you use my ramps to load and unload at the track.

I am already thinking about renting a U-haul... I intend to convert my snowmobile trailer over the winter so I can use it in the summer for track days.

I really don't want to ride to the track 'cause with my luck something will break and I will have to trailer it home anyway...

My pickup is not much of an option... it is a 1 ton 4x4, lifted 6"... loading and unloading is an all day affair...

The biggest holdups to me participating are gear (working on it as I type), and my riding partners finances... He is the one who convinced me to buy a sport bike for track days (been riding cruisers for 10+ years), and I would feel wrong going to my first track day (as a participant) if he had to sit on the side lines and watch (he also needs gear)...

I am hoping to participate, but not holding my breath...

Hi freak, welcome to the addiction

loading the bike into that truck wouldnt be too bad, just need a long ramp...
take your time with the track, its about as different as you can get from cruiser street riding as you can get.

as for waiting on other people to ride inorder to go riding yourself, youll find yourself sittin more than riding if you do that

Sun "I".....i'll be riding the bike to the track Sat and drop it off & prep it then.
The track is only about 20 minutes from me,so its actually easier to just ride it there and back rather load it into the S-10.
Last track day of the year for me too

LOL being the slow guy & being in the wrong group are two diff things, as long as i'm in the right group i'm good, if i'm consistently passing the entire group, i likely shouldn't be there, and if i'm holding up guys & constantly getting passed i likely shouldn't be in A, i'm honest on my ability & pace
