Gingerman Test and Tune Thursdays

STT is running the Gingerman test and tune thursdays. 75 bucks to ride from 5pm to dark. I'm thinking I might jam up there around 1 or 2 on Thursday if I can get out of work.

5/12/2011 Gingerman Raceway Test and Tune
5/26/2011 Gingerman Raceway Test and Tune
6/9/2011 Gingerman Raceway Test and Tune

Is there Medical staff for this or the normal Gingerman T&T without an ambulance?

I had gone several times the last couple years before STT had anything to do with it and it was well worth the travel. Last year we rode until 9:30 or so and got 5-6 sessions in which was a great deal for $60 and because of the time change I would be back home in Lockport by 11pm. Not too bad at all.

they basically do it t-tr all summer except on days its already rented out.

and it used to be $60

there's never been an ambulance when i have been there. don't hurt yourself beyond what you can crawl back to the paddock.

That's good advice but I'd rather have the piece of mind of an ambulance on site. That track isn't exactly near a Hospital if things go bad.

Actually the South Haven hospital is not very far away. No further than most peoples local hospitals and it comes complete with an emergency room.

Just an FYI some tracks do not alow there ambulances leave the track they have to wait till medical from the local ambulance to transport to the hospital. For me it doesn't matter as the track is safer than the street and I ride at a good clip out in the boonies and there is no medical out there.

having immediate medical attention when on the track is always a good thing.

but its a "test and tune", man up or stfu people.

How about 300 miles from home. I consider that the boonies. My ABC rides are mostly in the boonies nowhere near a town.

South Haven Hospital is 10 min down the road. It's on Phoenix road a couple blocks west after you cross over 196. Been there done that. It's closer than Rockford Memorial is to Blackhawk.

We ride hard in the woods, track and on the street occasionally. Everytime you saddle up you have to be aware of the consequences. At least it's a controlled environment and you don't have to worry about cars pulling out in front of you.

Gingerman is almost exactly 100 miles from my house. I'm contemplating taking a drive up there Thursday but it all depends on how work goes. It will be a last minute decision.

IT would be cool if we could have a consistant turnout for Autobahn on select week night evenings. Mr. Gunshow?????

Just talked with Rich regarding ambulance service etc. He said there will be an ambulance on site, corner workers etc...STT business as usual.

2 group format: sport and super sport.

Run until dark (or when it becomes a safety issue with the darkness)

Tire service on most days.

And NO MEMBERSHIP FEE.

Gingerman was always well worth the drive to me in the past. Take a half day from work and shoot out there, ride and back home. No reason to stop doing that now.

see you guys there! it'll be nice not having to deal with splitting the track with the cars for once. they tend to drag debris on the track.

is it going to be run just like a typical track day with control riders for the two groups? i've got a few additional friends that intend on going up this season, but they're a bit worried. i recommended an event with instructors before an open test and tune night. safety wire requirements for them? there's a bit of a gray area in the requirements, as STT seems to be handling the administrative stuff and a few other things, but then gingerman's rules blur the lines.
