I don't believe so. They are a Michelin house and have internalized the tire vending. You'd have to get them before hand.

I was hoping you'd chime in as I remember CyclePath at select STT events so I figured I'd ask. Now I get to pay for mounting, joy.

How you found us: Stumbled upon a ride meet

I went to the STT event at Gingerman and have to say I got the best instruction I've ever received. Novice group 2 started at 4 people, one needed to be told that "a man's got to know his limitations" and went down a couple groups (which did not prevent him from heading off the track a couple times...) and one went up to group 1, leaving me and my buddy in group two with Chris and Nick as coaches. The grilled us and helped us and overall taught me more than I've learned at my previous 4 track days combined. And on a new to me track!

Nick was a new/probationary coach (although he is a wera racer) and Chris, who runs trackdaymag.com, was the voice of reason.

Good times.

And I did learn (the hard way) to treat the last session the same as the first...got a little throttle happy on the last session of the day and blew turn 1 - must have been braking too hard at the ridge at the end of the straight and got a huge wobble preventing me from making the turn...at least I kept it upright in the wet grass!

Great day. Great track. Awesome instruction. Can't say enough good things about the day.

Big thumbs up to Chris and Nick. Thanks guys!

- Dan

you can't get better coaching from nick (grasshopper) period. imo, if he takes
notice of you, yer heading in the right direction. listen to wat "ALL" the coaches
tell you. but especially fukkin nick!

The funniest thing was the first time Chris told us to ride ahead so he could observe from behind. Of course, rather than continue riding the same pace and hitting the same reference points as when I was following, I got on the gas and blew the line on a couple turns, but went significantly faster and never felt out of control or in danger of going off track.

I was then instructed to hang back while my buddy went ahead. He did the same thing, but never lost control, blew a couple corners, hit a efw perfectly.

We pull into the pits, Nick comes up hapy as can be, fist bumping us, telling us how proud he is of us, the improvement we've shown in a day was amazing, etc.

Chris then walks over shaking his head asking, "what the fuck is wrong with you guys??!?" telling us all we did was get speed happy, blew lines, didn't show him any control, etc. Practically ripped us a new one. Nick is looking at him like, he can't believe it, comments that yes, we wicked it up, but the reference points change at speed, etc.... it was priceless.

After the next session, where my buddy and I showed much restraint, they had to confer before approaching us to avoid mixed messages.

Fucking priceless. I don't see how I could ever hope to top that track day.

Looking forward to Star school at Blackhawk on JUne 27.
