Yeah not denying that is a great deal. I just wanted to clarify because there was absolutely no mention of any pricing whatsoever for STT bike night. I went assuming that most if not all the activities were complimentary because there was no mention of cost except for the "donation" that the guy at the gate asked me to give him. Which I did and actually happily paid double thinking that was the least I could do for an organization generous enough to put on a meal, entertainment and show for all invited. I had a great time seeing a lot of people I hadn't seen in awhile but I won't deny that I was sorely disappointed for driving over an hour to arrive at an event that wasn't the least bit free. I blame myself for assuming (ass - u - me yeah I know) but I thought I'd help clear things up for anyone else who might be confused.
So yeah, that's a fantastic deal on your ribs and you're a very generous guy when it comes to giving away free track days to the right people. Just wanted to clarify that so you didn't accidentally read into my question too deep or assume like I did.
Sorry for any confusion and yes I give away a lot to our community. I alone with out noting the Ride Right program have given away 34 track days and countless discounts for no reason at all other than good people should be treated...well, good.
The bike nite post had the following:
This is a NO PURCHASE NECESSARY event!!
for a 5.00 donation (which you do NOT have to offer up) for the band.
100% of the money will go to the band.
Did I misrepresent something? I know Shelly adjusted the post for me early July. Did you see it maybe before we corrected? It was FREE to enter. You did not have to pay.
As for Ribfest you MAY have to pay the gate fee of 5.00 to get in if you want to party/eat etc. I will request ACC to waive it, but the gate fee helps ACC pay their expenses. Otherwise, at this particular venue, STT will be charged for everything from water to toilet paper usage. And, NO, I am not being sarcastic, for toilet paper usage was brought up as a legitimate expense they incur.
