Gingerman June 2-3 Roll Call

Kim and I will be there coaching and riding. Supposed to be great weather. Fun track and the new roller-coaster section is awesome. Anyone else going?

It was a great weekend at Gingerman. Perfect track weather. Light grid, so Saturday ran as 1/2 hour sessions with combined I/A and Novice.

Sunday ran the usual three groups, but because attendance was light, traffic was never an issue.

I got out for the first time this season, shaking some cobwebs off both me and the bike, and realizing how out of shape I am. I have sore muscles this morning that I've never been aware of before.

The bike started smelling like something plastic was melting, and threw a code Sunday afternoon. I decided to pack it in rather than risk more damage. Need to pull the tank and airbox and find the source of the problem this week.

Good to see Nolan and Kim again, and thanks for the tows and pointers. Good to meet some new people as e well.

Craig

Yep, as Craig said above, a great weekend for riding.

I enjoy Gingerman more every time I go. The track is challenging to get correct, but once you do it's super fun to string together all of the different turns.

The paddock is really nice for riders and spectators alike. We ended up camping overnight on Saturday - it was sooooo quiet and I slept like a baby after a long day of riding.

Sunday morning breakfast at the paddock cafe was delicious - nothing like french toast, bacon, and coffee enjoyed al fresco with the smell of gasoline still lingering in the air... .

The "track dogs" had a great couple of days and are now sleeping off the exciting weekend.
