Putnam Park: Thanks STT and CLSB

Just wanted to say thanks for the free track day!

It had been a busy week for me, I had two nights in a row with only 3 hours sleep. I got up at 2AM and headed from Wisconsin to Putnam Park. I made it there just in time to get the bike off the trailer and ride over for the rider's meeting and then get it teched. I got my leathers on and missed only about 2 laps of the first session.

I can't remember the last time I rode at Putnam, I think it had been over 3 years. I don't do many track days anymore. I did one last year. I sold my trackbike this year and my F4 is still in pieces. So the Brutale got the nod. It was my first time on the track with the Brute.

The first session I was slower than slow. The second session the bike started to chug. At first I thought the clutch was slipping under acceleration but then it got worse. I then realized that one of the fuses I removed to disconnect the light affected the charging system. I was able to get it back to the pits. After replacing the fuse and getting a charge, it was good to go.

With each session I got a bit more comfortable on the bike and the track. The Brutale actually worked really well. All-in-all it was a great day.

Thanks again!

Yeah, it was nice. Although I was pretty exhausted.

There was a photographer there. I flipped him off going into T1 and then thought, shit. He might have got the wrong idea! It's just that I like pictures where I'm waving!

Lots of cobwebs yesterday but it was still fun to get out and ride.

Splitsecondphoto was there, but if you didnt buy them yesterday, no pics available..

i had fun, although there were some people in I that should have been in A or N. it really sucks getting divebombed as im starting to turn in by someone that is wayy faster but can't hold the line at the same time. i about got run off in dead bear due to that.

there was more bikes in the grass yesterday than at any other of the 12 events ive been to.

Nice meeting you Jack
