Autobahn Aug 2nd crash

So I had my first crash today at autobahn north. Im very fortunate, it could've ended very differently. Im a little worried about my shoulder and will get an x ray soon...besides that everyones had road rash. surprisingly for the bike all i have to change is the fairing stay and the right handle complete setup...and some hoses and stuff. the plastics are scuffed up but ill get the tail fixed with fiberglass. I went into turn 5...and wasnt pretty i think I rolled for about 25 feet or so before hitting the grass. It was a very different experice, I'll learn from it

Dug2 hope you get well soon brother.

Sounds like you've already learned from it. I did the same thing last season, first session of the morning at BHF lowsided in T1. I was able to ride the rest of the day as the bike wasn't damaged at all. And the funny thing was I wasn't being cocky at all, I just wasn't 'loose' yet and was a little impatient that morning. All it takes is a momentary lapse in judgement and it'll bite ya, fast.

my judgement was to aggressive way to earily in the day.
impatience threw my on my head, body followed right after.
reason i couldnt continue was i bent my front rim, to unsafe.

glad your ok. The Armour bodies bodywork crashes awesome as you can see. Your money spent on them just paid for them self, Hotbodies would have flaked and broke all over.

Crashing is never good but better on the track then on the street (if that makes any sense)

Glad you are okay amigo

What bike and what color leathers were you wearing? Say hi next time.
I had to hold back a little and experiment with body position. The second to last session I levered the rear wheel off the ground with my side stand and lost it it turn 4. Some how I pushed it back up with my knee and kept going. I think the bike slid a good 4-5 off the line I was riding. I thought that was bad. When I was back in the pits Enes asked what happened to my rear brake lever. At some point I must have touched that down and bent the shit out of it. I didn't even know it untill he asked.

The only time I saw you during a session when you were in the grass
Next time I need to make sure and turn a few laps with you and Dug2

If you get a chance, my wife would love to see the pics you snapped also.

I also have to apologize to you. I passed you once on saturday and I felt I was a little close. I should have backed off a bit. If I did cut your line a little I'm very sorry.
