Which CR am I talking about??

Was at Autobahn Sunday, CR for begginner group, his left eye that looks like maybe he was in an accident or something? Just wanted to thank him for the words of encouragement and then banning me.

What'd ya do...hit the pace car?

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Ok enough stroking my ego. I was all pissy on the last session because I felt I was riding pretty good, so I railed it. Now that I know who it was, Chris Hipple was apparently following me and he said I was making him work to follow me, and asked what I was doing in beginner. I told him noone ever told me to bump up, so he said I was banned from beginner. Now I get to get beat on by the I guys and girls.

Maybe you were the only one who is fast in your group. Last year all of the #1 group in novice are all I group and our CR is pretty cool about it.

Chris, thanks so much. The track is fun, but getting better and learning to be faster, safer, and do it easier it awesome. Thank Bomber for me as well, you guys were the shit. Next time, end of the day, beers on me.

Don't feel bad about getting banned from N. X had to ban someone from I, and seemed pretty bummed and resistant until the end of Sunday in A, and then he thanked him.

We do sometimes have people sign up for N because there aren't any spots in I, hoping to get bumped up. This ploy is frowned on and usually doesn't work, as we don't usually move people out of N to I during the day so you're stuck there, especially if you purposely signed up for the wrong group. There have been days where N groups 1 and 2 were both quite fast because of this. I group is often the first to sell out so we're always more likely to bump from I to A, or bump people down when they're obviously in over their heads.

Believe me, I'm not bummed! I'm happier than a pig in shit! I have a large ego, and I've always been that guy that was good at everything sport related. So when my first two track days went by and I wasn't bumped I was secretly pissed. I THOUGHT I was riding pretty decent, gettin the knee down and all that, but I didn't want my ego to get the best of me, and bump myself and put myself, and anyone else in danger because I'm a slow ass. I thought EVERYONE had to be personally bumped, like each org kept tabs on who was who in what class. I didn't realize people bumped themselves! But I'll still wait till I get the green from an expert. It just might take longer than I expect!

Ah! Yeah, I didn't think you were bummed, I was making a funny. For future reference, I think NESBA is the only org that keeps close tabs and restricts which group you can sign up for.

Don't worry about Intermediate being too fast. I'm in there. No seriously though, people sign up for Intermediate and are slower then group 5 in Novice.... you'll do well. Only difference is just passing people. Or people passing you and parking it in the turn in front of you. Oh wait maybe that only happens to us girls.

You did the correct thing. I think its smart to get the bump instead of doing it yourself. Chris is a awesome coach as he was the one who told me also to move up. When u do it that way u are never the slowest guy in the above group so your not in over your head. Keep a cool head in I=group. Its funny I just moved to Texas and have been doing trackdays here. Most of the time they call I-group the killing fields (joke) just meens there is a wide range of talent. So I go out here and sign up for level 4 wich is like A-group thinking ultra smooth guys/gals. Come to find out 90% of the wrecks are in level 4. Had to laugh. Had a great time though no issues just funny how its different though. Take care keep the EGO in check and I hope everyone in Chi town is good.
