anyone have any idea of what we can do about this i honestly think all of us should try and create something to make the punishiments for this more severe to lessen the frequncey of this. any ideas im up for it im sure we can all remember times on our bikes when the only reason were alive is by the grace of god. im thinking we should get some sort of action going for not only the motorcyclist but also the pedistrians, cyclist, and drivers out there. anyone in.

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

That's what our group A.B.A.T.E. does and we have been making progress. More members would mean more voices but thats another rant I'd have to go on...Just be safe out there.

John Boria

Wondering if anyone has a photo of John? I believe this is a dear friend of mine and I cannot locate the obituary to prove this is him. If anyone can help that would be great!

Police: Motorcyclist killed as car runs stop sign
THE BLOTTER
6:44 AM CDT, June 6, 2008

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon when his
sport bike slammed into a car that police said ran a
stop sign on Chicago's Northwest Side.

The accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. in the
7400 block of West Addison Street in the Belmont
Heights neighborhood, Officer John Henry said.

John Boria, 30, was riding a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle
westbound on Addison when a 2003 Subaru ran a stop
sign on Osceola Avenue and the bike crashed into it,
Henry said.

Boria, of the 3600 block of North Potomac Avenue, was
taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park
Ridge, where he was pronounced dead at 9:08 p.m.
Thursday, a spokesman for the Cook County medical
examiner's office said. An autopsy was scheduled for
Friday morning.

No one else was hurt in the crash, Henry said. He
could not say if Boria was wearing a helmet.

The 38-year-old Chicago woman driving the Subaru was
ticketed for running the stop sign, Henry said.
