My Xbox 360 Crapped Out

I was just finishing my second playthrough of Mass Effect 1 to get to level 60 in preparation for playing Mass Effect 2 when I lost video. It is the X clamp issue. I really don't want to mess with repairing it or take the time to get it repaired, so I am going to pick up a new one tomorrow.

Question is can I remove my gray thing (which I am assuming is a hardrive) from the old one and put it on the new one and begin playing Mass Effect 1 where I left off? Or will I have to start over?

yes. double check to make sure the saved game files are on the HARD DRIVE versus the internal memory, but I did it when I sold my other Xbox.

When I would save games, the console would ask me to specific the device. I always chose what seemed to be the hard drive option. Where else can the games be saved?

Thanks for the offer But by the time/$$$ it takes to fix, I'd just rather get a new one.

I should have clarified.....**free of charge** ...even if it's after you get a new one. Then you have two!

You may need to 're-download' any content from the XBL store. You don't actually download the data again as it's on the drive, but going through the action of re-downloading it will update the license for each item you purchased. This include free downloads as well.

The old one is for the taking. If anyone is interested, name your price and come pick it up.

It has no HD, one controller, and cords.
