Game headset

So, I've been using regular big headphones and the ol' xbox communicator in combination (using just the mic on the xbox communicator headset). I have the sound of the game and the chat go thru the headphones. I'm looking to get a set that has the both combined. Been checking out the ear force line by turtle beach, and few others. The reviews are really mixed. Anyone have any experience/favorite?

FYI, I borrowed neighbors Ear Force X31 and I was hugely disappointed. The static crackling were horrible. Makes me lean towards a wired headset, as much as I'd love to go wireless...

xbox doesn't use blue tooth.

i have the turtle beach x41 headsets, they work great, but i do get some interference sometimes, and it is annoying.

Bluetooth would be nice, and in theory it could be used in place of RF. But for some reason I haven't stumbled upon a headset with that yet...

I got 2 routers in the house, and it they are in the same room as where I'm playing, so it's making it unusable. I'm fine with corded, but I feel like an idiot with regular head set on my head, and xbox communicator around my neck so that the mic is in front of my face lol

And while looking for one do-it all, I wouldn't mind surroundsound too. I'm just having a hard time with how broad the reviews are for the ones I've found so far...

Anyone using Tritton? AX720 or Pro?

That's what I use. PS3 hooked up to surround sound and bluetooth sitting on the table in front of me. Gets the job done.

defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do. I want the game and chat thru headphones. For what you describe, the xbox communicator works just fine.

I ended up buying Tritton AX720's, played 2 rounds of Black Ops and I'm loving it. I'll be up all night breaking them in today
