Diablo 3 - Release Date May 15

So, if anyone has a spare D3 beta key and or a BNet account they can "loan" send me a PM.

As far as I am aware (coud be wrong) It doesn't require an authenticator.

Here's to hoping today's rumor is true and we get a formal release date.

Apparently someone/somehow in Italy got an "official" from Blizzard stating April 17th.

We'll see soon enough.

Seriousl jonsing for this.

Stupid MoP NDA won't be up until the 19th though, so that sucks.

I've heard they are in internal Alpha. Hopefully after the press tour we'll have a F&F Beta and maybe even a closed beta date.

I'm real curious how this one is going to go since it's going to be a dramatic change from the previous 3 expansions.

Let it SHINE ON Lupi

I am super excited for MoP. I used to spend way too much time doing stuff, in the last year all the systems put in place make it that I can play for a couple hours a week + raid times and still keep a character competitive. There is also so much fun crap to do. I love this freaking game. With every update it seems like they streamline stuff so you grind less.

I've played WoW since the latter half of Vanilla all the way through present. I love what the LFR/LFD and cross realm stuff has done for me. Especially now that my schedule isn't condusive to organized play time. I can get in, get out and still feel like I've not wasted my time sitting in a chat channel trying to get a group. I've seen all of the raid content during the lifecycle of the expansion. Somehing I only did in WotLK the week before Cata-Pre launch.

I'm curious how MoP will be since they have stated they are moving away from "End Boss" design style. So it should be fun i think. They just need to learn to shrink the gap between last raid zone going live and new x-pack. 9 months is toooo long.

From what I am hearing there will be more epic feel to dungeons, and tons of ways to make them more achievement driven with medals given for completing them a certain way or timed. It sounds interesting. Right now it is the most fun I've had with the game for a while, probably because I play with a bunch of friends, we have a pretty cool group, its unreal that there are actually 8 couples that play together.

Well, yesterday came and went and the "well documented source" over at Incgmers was a huge flop. Then when Jay Wilson tweets everyone jumps all over him.

Nothing like fansites stirring the pot, and then the backlash is to Blizzard not the fansite.

Blizzard has always made AAA titles, that affords them the luxury of, “It’s done when it’s done” attitude.

As much as I’ve wanted to play this game 3.5 years ago when it was “officially” announced, I know that it will be awesome when it comes out. Blizzard has never released a game that sucks, and even SC which isn’t my cup of tea I still got my money worth out of.

I’m just so incredibly tired of all of the QQing that goes on via the internet. People complaining that features and elements they’ve never even personally seen break the game when they get removed. I love how it’s always the unhappy minority that is the loudest faction on the internet. And everyone of those little crab ass cry babies is still going to buy the game and play the crap out of it and think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

No one will give two shits how long it was or wasn’t delayed so long as it’s awesome. When has it not been awesome??

Because most people are stupid and sheep that follow someone elses opinion instead of really trying things for themselves.

Blizzard finally got a clue after they released Cata, they though, ok, lets make it harder and give the hardcore what they want... they got 2 million people to drop their subscriptions. That is what I love about that company, they learn from their mistakes instead of shoving them down people's throats as intended features. They do come out and said, shit, we messed up.

Blizzard has always made the necessary adjustments. If you don’t think they can do serious statistical analysis on things like, boss kills, wipes, dmg done/received you’re kidding yourself.

Personally, I loved the difficulty at the beginning of Cata. It meant I couldn’t loleroll WotLK style every instance. Facerolling went out the window and all that CC they said PRE CATA you were going to need to do, you had to do. The only fight I think was totally borked at release was Ozruk. Which they later patched to add a visual to his stomp that made it easier.

Oh yeah, and this was the expansion of, “Don’t stand in shit dumbass, cuz now it hurts!” That the herp-derpers couldn’t figure out.

All in all, they make incredibly fun games with an incredible amount of replay value. I don’t care how long it takes for D3 to come out. I already know I’m going to lose a lot of sleep when it does.

LOL, I will hopefully not lose sleep over it. I already have it purchased so I will play the shit out of it.

I think the difficulty was way overtuned. I cleared all heroics as soon as I got to 85 and figured out Ozruk before the pretty animations... but died there way too many times as a healer. It was a pretty dumb mechanic... I have talked about that subject a lot actually.

Champ and I bought the annual pass, and I'll buy the CE on release day. I played D1/D2 and all x-pacs enough to know I'll be playing it a lot. Still think I'm going to start with a Barb first. I know I'll roll one of every class/gender combo to see the intros, and play a little then pick one to 60.

All in good time. I'm very much looking forward to it.

That and I may play in the MoB beta since I'm guarenteed a spot in there too.

Yea, I will be playing both. I played more D1 than D2, not sure why really. I saw some of the PvP at Blizzcon but did not play the demo, I hate waiting in lines.

Holy crap at what went in with Patch 14 last night.

www.diablofans.com has an enormous list. A lot of small things, text changes, but a lot of variables changed as well. I love the datamining that the guys at curse do with WoW and D3.

Not a lot of "known issues" either, though a couple of them are kinda big but almost all are centered around things added this patch. So that's a good sign IMHO!

A couple of the sites i visit are currently debating the "sign of release" stuff. Half of them say that the release date has to come before the MoP NDA is lifted on Monday, or push yet another week. They also are sticking to a Monday as "announcement day" but I don't recall Blizzard ever using Monday's for that.

They are also speculating that D3 needs to be live before MoP beta starts, which we should know when that is next week.

I do know that people found a way to get to three areas past the beta content and holy crap did that stir a huge buzz about how cool things are past the beta. If nothing else than for the four new champ/eliete types and the mini events.

I've been patient enough, so I can continue, but man I plan on not sleeping for a day or two!

If they are smart they will release both of them at the same time. I think they don't want people to consume too much in beta for MoP anyway. I see the Beta being very limited at first and then little by little they will open it. Once they see numbers drop they will release dungeons and stuff... that would be what I would do.

I never got into the D3 beta, when I download it and play it, it will be all new. I cannot wait.

I haven't gotten into the D3 beta either. I know at least a half dozen friends who are in, most of which haven't played it since '11. And of course almost all of them haven't played a blizzard game since Rift/Tor went live.

And here, I'm waiting....lol.

I still think D3 will be an april release at this point. Pure speculation though.
