Anyone own a PSP?

I have been looking at the Sony PSP alot lately and I have been really tempted to buy one any owners out there that can A. tell me how good it really is? or B. Talk some sence into me and tell me not to waste my money. Any feedback would be helpful before I go and buy one and possibly regret it LOL.

well, if you buy it, you can always return it...did that when i grabbed one.

It's kind of cool, except it's a pain imo to play games with only one joy-stick. I only had the star wars battlefront game, but it was gay, I'd have more fun on a psx just because of the fact that you have the 2nd joystick for looking/aiming in shooter games

i bought one, really liked it, but games are big money, and i dont travel that much so i found myself sitting at home playing it when the concel is just sitting there. so i sold it.

but if you travel a lot i could see it being very valuable.

I have one and love it. Whenever I am sitting somewhere waiting, I dig it out and entertain myself. That bluetooth is awesome, a fewof us will sit it the garage and watch a sports game, while playing poker against each other.

The battery lasts pretty long unlike the old school gameboy from the 80s, one charge lasts me a few days of on and off play time.

I bought mine when they first came out and it was worth every penny. The price probably shrunk a little since then, so by one.........

I get to see the sun everyday I watch it rise. I actually have ridden the HD this year rode it to work even it's great coming home in no traffic. I know electronic games are not "allowed" but since I can't surf the internet at work for porn I figure I would bend the rules a little. :

The best thing I can say about the PSP (and i keep repeating it) is remote connect to your PS3 at home.

so, my PS3 is in network at home, and over it I can watch/listen anything from my network, without having to copy it to the PS3.

Now, with PSP I can do the same, given i have an internet connection.
Between my classes, I can remotly connect to the PS3 and watch movies from my home computer! w00t!!! that's sexy!

My son has the PSP and loves it. Also Gamefly has a fair amount of games for all systems. But you can try them out and if not send them back. Its like Netflix but for games.

If you get a PSP (which I highly recommend) make sure you hack it with homebrew. Like drama said you can play emulators anything from oldschool NES up through the N64. Definitely worth it when you have access to tons of oldschool games and the new ones too. Love it for traveling!

I have a PSP fat (not the new slim model). Its fun but very game dependent. I connected it to my PS3 and hooked up my old PS2 Eye Toy to my PS3 and now I have a nanny cam.

You can't yet play PS3 games or watch DVD/BD movies from the PSP/PS3 remote connection. You can play PS1 games though and if you format a movie as a file and save it to PS3 you can watch it remotely.

UMD movies suck battery life in 2 hours but I charge on Sunday night and a game will last me all week. If you don't reach a save point by the time your train arrives just slide the off button upward once quickly and you PSP shuts down and when you turn it on again its at the same place in the game.

Games you need are God of War or Siphon Filter (any). I just downloaded R-Type 1 & 2 from the PSN for $6 and they are great classics. I'm playing a RPG right now that's fun enough to pass the time.

Just bought one from here recently & got a great deal (love this site). I bought it to keep myself busy while on a 4 hr plane trip, and it definitely served its purpose. I bought 2 used games (nba live 07 & Socom). Haven't touched it since we got back from vacation. But it's definitely ideal for long trips for its long batt life.
