Fallout 3 Has Cured my Addiction to Porno

Well, I've traded my porn addiction for a Fallout 3 addiction. Wow, this game will fuck you up lol I cannot put the controller down.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

It won't last that long. The game bores out midway through when you realize there is a whole lotta wasteland between points.

Walking the wasteland is the best part! If you don't like it, hit the global map and press A. It's called fast travel. No need to walk between points.

If you get your hands on the PC version and explore the 'net, you'll see that there's a whole slew of user-modifications to the game, that further expand the world and increases the replay value exponentially. I'm a HUGE fan of Fallout 1 and 2, took a day off of work, and picked up my copy of Fallout 3 from Best Buy at midnight... yes, I was one of those guys. And you know, it was worth it!

F3 for the computer is wicked but update 1.4 has ruined the game for me using Vista. Crashes constantly and is completely unusable. I'm still waiting for the new patch, it has been a long time...

I've only played the first, and that can be run through in less than 10 hours. I haven't snagged the Pitt yet, but that should be about the same length. The 3rd should be a bit longer.

I've actually played through the game twice, and on my 2nd playthrough, continually discovered things that I never even found the first time through. Love games like that that are so deep. There's hidden easter eggs EVERYWHERE!

Each new quest or area has something that outdid the last. It is rivaling the experience I had years ago playing Halflife 1. The easter eggs are the best!

I am traditionally a PC gamer. I picked up this game for the Xbox 360. This is my first time playing a game on the Xbox. Love the VATS system, takes aiming problems out of the equation. So, how do the expansion packs work for Xbox?

You buy them off of XBox Live and they're downloaded to your XBox. I may be biased, but you should really just re-buy the PC version, if you really love the game this much. The aftermarket mods are unbelievable.

What OS are you running and which version of the game? I have the Pitt but can't get it to run at all.

Vista Ultimate and v1.1. I haven't had a chance to fire up F3 in a while... Dawn of War 2 came out which consumed my gaming time, and now the weather's finally coming around.

WSE, here's the mod for you... gotta be a registered member to view it.

Seducing Women
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2341

Welcome to the extended replacement for my Seducing Moira mod, now encompassing multiple NPCs. This first release adds Brick, Reilly and Scribe Yearling alongside Moira, and (hopefully) I'll be adding more as my spare time allows.

The basic format is the same as my earlier mod: If you have the Lady Killer perk, and have fufilled whatever specific conditions your chosen lady may have, then once a day you can attempt to seduce them. If you pass the subsequent speech check - or can qualify for an alternate dialogue path - then you're in, and will then receive her verdict on your performance, calculated from certain player stats. I've actually made it just a touch more difficult to get the best rating, but I have added an item out there in the wasteland that will help you if you have it in your inventory - Scribe Yearling may clue you in if she thinks you're not fully up to scratch, but who would have taken something like that...?

You need 1.4 to run the Pitt which starts a whole world of headache, hold off until next winter.

Well the next DLC will be out next month, so that "patch" would hopefully address the issues with 1.4?

Since this is in the Video Game forum and not in the subforms let me say that if I were to buy this game again I would get it for the PC, 2nd choice xBox and 3rd PS3.

I nabbed the PS3 version at Circuit City for $10 just before they closed their doors. I guess they forgot to empty their new release case. Their loss.

Anyway, I absolutely love this game even with it's faults. There are some bugs but nothing dealbreaking. The ps3 version has no DLC. I think Bethesda was paid by MS for exclusive DLC.

Anyway, still a great game on the ps3. I'm only 2 trophies away from the Platinum trophy. The only thing I'll say about what I really don't like is that if you finish the last quest on the ps3 you can't reload old data. So if you have quests to complete, finish them prior to completing the last quest.

Now, I'm contemplating my next perk. Should it be Entomologist or Animal Friend. If you are wondering around the wasteland these come in handy.

Last time I opted for increasing my SPECIAL's LUCK up a notch and it helps so much better than upping any other category.

Ha ha ha, I never even heard of that game but sounds just like Liesure Suit Larry in Space. I miss the games of the 83-98 era. Quest for Glory, King's Quest, Grim Fandango, Sam n Max (the first one) Gabriel Knight series.

BTW SmartDrug is your picture from Monkey Island? Another magnificent series. Heh heh heh...Guybrush Threepwood...

Haha, you got it man, gotta love the Monkey Island series!

Grim Fandango is my favorite of that Genre though, long, complex, interesting, all around a video game masterpiece.

Full Throttle was pretty fun too, Lucasarts was pretty much untouchable from 1994-2000.

Rex Nebular has a lot of LSL similarities but is slightly less sexual. Fun game though.

Oh I do remember Loom. I played that in SVGA (heh...super vga...) so I played it after it had gotten the point and click overhaul. I never finished Loom though. Barely got into it actually.

Outlaws was a fun one too, a wild west version of Doom, quite entertaining back then. I remember not being able to run it as my harddrive was only 210mb and I couldn't fit the program...

I'm fondly remembering all of the X-Wing and Tie Fighter games... I spent WAAAAAY too much of my high school life, playing that series. Became a hell of an ace. Too bad the X-Wing VS Tie Fighter stuff came out at a time when online play was in its infancy. Would love to experience it now.
