Connecting to XBox LIVE

I hooked up a new Linksys wireless router a couple of weeks ago and since then my son hasnt been able to get on LIVE. He can get on the net and login and whatever but he cannot connect to games with his friends etc etc

I called my ISP-they told me its aint thier problem - imagine that. They said to call MS. Did that-said its not their fault and to go buy a wireless router that is MS approved for XBox. Yeah whatever you knobs.

I think it has to do with Range Forwarding and opening up ports or something. I have a Linksys WRT110 router. Google turns up some ideas but nothing has worked so far. He's going through serious withdrawel.

Any ideas guys?

did you try putting the xbox's IP into the DMZ?

run the network test from the dashboard and see what it says.

Ive tried more crap than I can remember
I ( my son) did the dashboard thing and afterwards while trying to connect it says something to the effect of cannot connect to the game-there may be network problems
