Wii Homebrew Channel FTMFW!!

And right now it's easier to install it than ever. No need for stupid zelda game and what not.

Want to be able to watch DVD's on your Wii? Or any movie/audio file? Stream music/audio from the internet?

Want to play 10's of thousands of games for just about any game console that came out in the past 20+ years?

As we speak, I'm uploading 7000 games for Atari 2600, 7800 and SNES. (thank you Demonoid).

For those interested, here is the almost idiot proof way to get homebrew channel on your Wii:

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Bannerbomb

Download, extract and copy the homebrew browser to your apps folder on your SD card:
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Homebrew_Browser

in the latter you can browse thru some homebrew games, utilities and media programs, than download and install them straight from the wii if you like. Those include most emulators for other consoles, simple FTP server (so you can move files between the Wii's SD card and your computer) and bunch of other goodies.

This really made the Wii 100x better.

I'm fixing to deploy with bunch of guys again, and I'm making sure we got entertainment for months

you just create an 'apps' folder on your sd card, and throw the homebrew browser folder in there. Do you really need help creating the 'apps' folder?

roms, easiest way is to torrent for those. Demonoid.com has them all, just about. For emulators, once you get the homebrew browser running, it'll have an emulator tag, under which you'll have all of them available for download/install.

REP!

Got everything installed and am currently moving the hundreds of NES roms I have on the computer. I have an old Xbox sitting in my garage I was going to mod to do this exact thing, but now I don't have to!

Follow this link:

http://bannerbomb.qoid.us/

Once you have the homebrew channel set up on your Wii, go here and follow the Install instructions (the download is in the upper right corner):

ya know, if people actually read my post, and links I've included, ya wouldn't have any trouble

Norton, as I've said, you have to EXTRACT the zip file, than put the homebrew folder in the apps folder on your SD card.
