scooter w/ a side car...

I want a scooter with a side car! Whats the best way to get one?

I was asking a Chicago bike shop on the south side and the owner tried to talk me out of it because it would handle poorly. I tried to tell him that I have other bikes for the handling that I want a scooter w/ a side car. not a very good sales person I guess.

Why a scooter rather than a motorcycle?

I have seen a setup like this a few times . A Honda Helix and a Vespa , both looked balanced . Try California Side car co. ? For schlepping around town , its fun , but dont get dreams of grandur .

I'm not sure if the girls would come home with you if you were riding a scooter w/ sidecar.

You can get a sidecar for a Genuine Stella (or Vespa Px150) Call scooterworks. They could point you in the right direction. I saw someone around town with a Bajaj and a sidecar. It was sweet.

You are bringing back long suppressed memories from my childhood.

Dad riding pulling some wicked sidecar wheelies, mom on the back punching Dad in the kidneys, me and my 2 brothers stuffed in the side car peeing our pants! Good times indeed! You could really get away with a lot of crap in the 70's couldn't you?

Unfortunately, no action shots available.
