Isn't it just a throttle stop that you can take off to unrestrict the 08s?

My 05 came with a bunch of aftermarket high performance crap on it. I put it back to stock and now it runs better.

Yeah, 10 minutes and a dremil cutting tool is all you need to get it on par with the 05.

I'll do that, but if I really want more speed i"ll just take out the plated wr450f, or buy a ducati.

It is. It's the 20+mph part that's difficult, especially when I weigh 250 . It is easy as pie to do wheelies on though.

i get to about 45 with it, the speedo needle is pegged onto the bottom of the gauge
its 100% stock including the factory tires, and has 6500 on the clock

i didnt exactly follow the break in procedure for it adn i think that might be part of why its quicker than other zumas ive ridden

i only weigh 150 too but that doesnt count for anything zuma to zuma

45 is awesome. Maybe mine will get faster after I get some miles on it. Its only got 300 on it now. I got it from my boss who bought it new and the fastest I have ever gotten it to do was 38. I rode that thing from Rich's Yamaha in Lockport to my work in Justice doing 38mph down Archer where the speed limit is 55 and nowhere to pass. Lots of pissed off people in cars behind me that day .

I think I followed the manual to about 250 miles for break-in, after that I started rippin on it and have ever since...it has 2 speeds full brake and full throttle I need new front brake pads soon, it will be my 6th set, and the rear tire really should be replaced as it looks more like a slick that a street tire

Just did the dual headlight mod and took the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

Throttle mod definitely woke the zuma up.
