Scooter Sighting 10/22

Couldn't think of a good topic title for this, so

On my way home from work yesterday at about 4:30 when I got to Kenosha, I was waiting in the left turn lane waiting on the light to change. (Corner of Hwy-50/104th Ave)

So there I was taking a drink of my coffee, and I saw this scooter came zipping around the corner from 104th Ave northbound onto Hwy-50 West. The rider was actually "hanging off" the bike. Well, as much as you can with both feet in front of you. He had his butt off the seat and his upper body was out just like it should be. I almost spit my coffee out.

SO... was it anybody on here? Come on, fess up!

I took Piercedqt78's little scooter out the other night...sounds exactly like the form I eventually came up with...but then again, even with my fat-arse on it, WOT didn't do much. In fact, I almost fell off it going down the drive way because I wacked open the throttle and it was so slow to get going I had to put my feet down and push! LOL

I'm confused, what was the pic of the multi-colored 749 before? (at least, I thought it said that on it) Bike looks nice in the avatar though!

My scooter is way more fun in the city then the bike. The bike just sits there between trackdays. I don't hang off, I back it in with the foot out, supermoto style.

The 748 and 996 have the same bodywork. I had yellow 748 body panel painted and stickered proper to a 996s. It's a hell of a 5 foot bike, that's for sure.

Supermoto scooter riding FTW!!!

I call shenanigans no way you back a scooter in not enough engine braking. Using the rear brake doesn't count.

This is Scooter Style:

I would have had more fun on the 996 if I wasn't so afraid of scratching it (or wadding it honestly).

The scooter would have been a hoot if it had more oomph to get me around those corners...I swear, half the time I was afraid I was going so slow that the thing wouldn't stay upright...

But then again, this was right after I got off the 996 which felt like I was gliding across ice head first...but was loud as fack.

Give me a scooter that has the bottom end torque I'm used to with the V-twin, and I'd be getting myself in trouble.
