Lesson on the street

So i guess this should go in here since it happened on a crf50. I bought my friends some beers and lunch and they agreed to do some work on a used 50 i bought not long ago, carbs, filter and such while I was away from home. They took it to the subdivision in my neighborhood and just kinda cruisin around the park which I've done plenty of times since I got it.

He comes up to a stop sign along with a nissan rouge and waves the guy by. Funny enough some lil girl thought he was waving at her, got all excited, and waved back.
Well big surprise, this was a cop in civilian plates and proceeds to pull him over. He even had 1 of those police lights you pull out and place on the dash. He gave him some shit about how he could impound it and ticket him but let him off with a warning, tho he had to push it back home which probably took like 10 mins, lol

The bike is not street legal but does have street tires and adult mods. Aside from the entertaining story, my question is, I know it can't be on the street but can i ride it on the shoulder and sidewalk like a bicycle? Doesn't seem like cops would want motorized vehicles on the sidewalks either, but isn't it just like a go-ped or pocket rocket? I see those all the time on sidewalks.

even bicycles legally aren't allowed on the sidewalk.

+1, all those guys you see w/bikes or goped or whatever on the sidewalks are breaking the law too and can be fined as such.

bicycles being NON MOTORIZED vehicles operate under a different st of rules
kids ride bikes on sidewalks adults ride in the street along the right side curb going with the flow of traffic.
