sometimes we'll sensor them on the thread titles but not usually in the posts. I guess its our way of promoting free speach yet keeping the site safe for people at work.

Because we are SUPPOSE to be all adults maybe. Even though there are few that I wonder at times

If you start censoring everything why even bother having a forum then??

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Yup I made the decisin not to censor them a long time ago. I figure since we are all adults here we should be able to censor ourselves, plus sometimes a swear word is needed to make a point.

Freedom of speech?

it has been asked of me to "tone it down" cause the post whoring, and other stuff had gotten out of hand. thanks fine and dandy, i can understand that, Rev and I were having some fun and we both have stopped with shots at each other. But i still seem to be catching flak for it. I truely find it funny that the site is trying to be all happy go lucky and want it to "please the masses" but we have swears on the site. I know that it not acceptable by socity that you should swear. So why have it here?

Yeah. I mean, I never ever joked on someone I never met. It's all between people I know in person. It was always kept between people we already knew and know that we can joke like that. I don't see what's wrong with that.

Just my 2 canadian cents/

And that would be true if it were in one of your threads or in PM's, but lately noone can post a thread without it being basardized with gay jokes by the second page and it doesnt matter who started the thread. thats what we are trying to stop. Open forum is still open forum, but in the other forums we are tying to keep stuff on topic, dont be offended by it. its a request from a lot of members that we are responing to. They want to be able to operate in those forums with out feeleing like they are in the open forum.

Well....I guess that brings us to the adult part huh???

There are other people on the board that have sit back and watch you too go at each other. It's kind of inconsiderate, especially when you have an Open forum to mess around in and PM's. Not everyone wants to see you two messing around all the time. Fun is fun but you can take too far.

Not offended. That's fine. I've been posting on boards for more a decade at least, so I know what's a flame war and what not

That's why I'm not posting that sort of stuff anymore. Too bad I never got a PM from nobody (except mods) to cut it back. If you wanna say something to me, PM me first, then I can explain stuff. No issues with that.

For me it wasn't really the gay taunts back and forth. I could care less what someone's sexual preference is. I use this board to post questions and search for answers in past threads or threads that I have missed. Many times, I'll post a question or a comment, and not be able to check it for a while, and when I do a search on that particular topic, I have to sift through pages of useless banter that is irrelavent to the topic in the first place. It's time consuming, and a PITA.

Ok but these topics are related so thats fine. but if someone were to jump in right now and say something about you being gay, that would be what we are talking about as far as off topic.

I didnt say it was off topic. I just think your post, with its use of analogies, broadens the scope of this thread and in doing so brought in other elements.

Long story short, the reason this site allows swearing is because it was a decision made by the admins. The same way other sites don't allow it, admin decision. Does it really matter?

Hey mods, only joking. You can delete this if you want

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."
