image halos

one thing that has always bugged me on this site are the jagged halos around all of the buttons and icons. vBulletins images are matted for lighter colored backgrouds so these halos show up when placed on a darker color. Just wondering if there are any plans on fixing this?

I spent a few minutes looking in the vBulletin forum for a set before I gave up and just fixed a few. In the image below I placed the new images into "After the Ride report" and "Social Gatherings."

If you want, I could fix the other images and send them your way.

It's not rewriting any code, it's fixing the images. Honestly, I've noticed it before as well and I'm usually really picky about shit like that.

I think if someone wants to fix it for us then more power to you.

Sure, although the images may be changing soon anyways. I am upgrading shortly to a new versin and I think the image files will be different.

well, if you're going to 3.5 then might as well wait. We haven't upgraded yet so I don't know if there are new images or not. I'm kind of surprised no one on vB has made a set for darker colors

You and me both. I had thought about photoshopping the colors myself, but its so low on my list of priorities right now, it will be a while before that happens. We shall see what 3.5 has to offer. I will be doing some testing this weekend.

I'm still going to work on making my own custom ones but this was a complete set that looked better for the time being.
