CLSB FAQs

To save bandwidth, I think it would be a good idea to have a section of frequently asked questions to minimize the continual repeat threads on CLSB. I would recommend sticky-ing this. Thank you.

1). What is the best beginner bike?

2). What is the best beginner track back?

3). I'm thinking about doing a track day. What do I need?

4). Helmet laws: Good idea? Bad idea?

5). Which helmet should I get?

6). I'm buying my girl an engagement ring. How much should I spend? What should I sell in order to pay for it?

7). Which high performance car should I buy (winter only)

8). Which cell phone is the best?

9). Do you guys like Nextel? Cingular?

10). I'M DRUNK!!! (Mopar)

11). I'm f*cking a 17 year old! (WSE)

12). New riding jacket: Mesh or textile?

13). Next mod on my Harley (Tony only)

14). Which gun should I buy?

15). Should I move outta my mom's house and get a job? (CR crossovers only)

I think it would be a good idea to have a thread stickied at the very least at the top of each forum of past exhaust discussions, gear etc. The first post could be links to previous threads. While products and thinking may change, it might be a good resource to start with instead of constantly regurgitating the same info.

Not to mention tons of great info out there, and most dont want/know how to search.

Definite no. How else are you supposed to afford that 2007 liter bike? Have your mom put it on her insurance, too.

That reminds me of one of my favorite threads on there - this guy asked "Should I get 1) Insurance or 2) A helmet? I can't afford both."

I'd say insurance, if you wreck so bad that you kill yourself at least you won't be worried about it, but if you just dump your bike over you want INS to pick up the tab.

A decently prepped first generation SV goes for 3000 to 3500 bucks.

So if you have a 12,000 dollar motorcycle you can buy roughly 3 1/2 to 4 SVs for the cost of that.

Easy SV math.
